How do you attach your camera to helmet like that? Is it some kind of special holder or just a regular sticker? I've always wanted to record in this POV but I couldn't find sth like this. Also really like your riding and the x4 colors🤙
Chin mounts makes the mount specifically for almost every full face helmet. Insta 360 also makes a strap on version. The horizontal mount is a bracket from insta 360
It is if I’m gonna be honest, missed potential and lack of investment. However, trail crew has a few really talented people, they just have limited resources. I’m stoked to go back when everything is open and hopefully see some positive changes.
I have been disappointed with the lack of progress up there since 2016. One "new" trail this year is the old wizard line revamped. Still haven't finished off adding features to the end of Hustler like they said they were going to. Not surprising since the guy who ran it into the ground before it closed in 2013ish is still in charge of bike park maintenance. Hmm do you see a trend?
@@MarkMatthewsMTB Much respect for saying this. I have been critical of the park for the better part of two decades. Your 'missed potential and lack of investment" is bang on. Having no competition might be part of the problem. They will never get my $ again as I'd just as well go ride ANY other trail network on the island. Positive changes. Not in my lifetime....and I mean it when I say lifetime.
@@darrenlearymtb There is an incredible crew of hard working people up there but they don't have there resources they need. The ownership, Pacific Group Resorts, is completely blowing it!
@@beerman1313 I think it comes down to needing new ownership. The fact that the entire media team are volunteers who work for a pass is laughable, or sad? The trail crew crushes it given the challenging conditions and short seasons they are working with so 100x more resources need to be put into it. Even Darren Berrecloth, a legendary rider and builder, can't get an amazing trail built there because the funding and time isn't being invested into doing things right. The Jordie Lunn Bike Park (a free municipal bike park, also built by Berrecloth) clearly has a significantly bigger budget and is significantly better. Isn't that crazy? Proper investment under new ownership would change everything. You get what you pay for and Mt Washington is proof of that.
Mt Washboard!
100% lol
So im not the only one who calls it that 💯💯💯
Can’t wait for the MEGA DROP!!!!
So a "Technical Blue" Line in Canada, is like a double Black Diamond in Germany!! Good to know ! 🤣🤣
haha yes
Love Upper Helter Skelter and Riptide Ridge, lots of good fast and rough tech up at washy
Some fun tech, nothing is very fast imo though
@@MarkMatthewsMTB I guess fast is subjective, but for me the middle section of the mountain rips . Especially love Hwy19/Bluehammer/Stepbrother 🤙
You make that rock drop look so easy its way bigger in person
That X4 footage looks so good!
It does!
Another rad day Mark!
Your reels look different than this footage? Do you have it mounted differently to get more of the crossbar? 2:00
@markmatthewsMTB
@@connorkoldeway I do 360 mode for my reels.
What bike is this
So excited for the Mega Drop haha
Same 🔥
If this park had at least any competition mid island it would be the best park on the island!
what pedals are you using?
Pnw range
Him: "Canada's rawest bike park"
Mont Sainte-Anne: "Bonjour"
😅
Haha it’s rowdy there! But they do much more maintenance
@@MarkMatthewsMTB Correction: "We" do much more maintenance, at least in the double blacks 😜
@@WilliamLevesqueineXthat’s what I was saying lol
lmao thats great
Handcut Hollow 💀🔥
Is there a benefit to having the inner lens facing downhill? I'm scared the dirt / debris will scratch the touch screen.
it has to be slightly angled up in single lens mode if you wanna see the trail ahead.
If you like a raw park try snoqaulmie bike park (WA)

Thanks! I just zip tied a GoPro 3 prong mount to my chin piece lol

Berms are getting better up there year after year
For sure. They got some very talented trail crew. Now they just gotta scale up!
Sick
North Shore mountains should do this.
That would be sick!
Brought out the big bike for this trail…lol
hello :D
One RUclipsr calling it “the worst bike park in NA” to M.M. with the “RAWEST” label. Hope you had a blast overseas young man.
The other RUclipsr probably isn’t’wrong…
Thanks! The Uk was amazing
Kicking horse gives the same vibes
I’m going next Friday noooooo
Oh Washy... Not the best bike park. Certainly one of the more fun ones..... Vancouver Island sux, tell your friends.
why do you say this is rawest bike park?
Because they don’t really build or regularly maintain proper berms and jumps, and the Mtn is very rocky
Not going to lie it looks pretty dissapointing.
