What a trail! Of all the crazy stuff I've seen you ride over the years, this trail looked like so much fun. Welp, I guess I know where my Wife and I are vacationing near in the next few years. Thanks Remy!
Stuff like this looks like heaven, I’d love to ride it. We have a real problem in Australia with newer riders wanting only smooth flow, any time a trail is rebuilt any rock or feature is dumbed down or removed.
You know, a lot of the time when I'm watching your videos, I get really sucked in. Almost as if I'm there riding the trails myself, or with a pair of VR glasses on (even though I've never tried them). I think I hit about 17 trees and slipped off a few skinnies.
What was happening in California then is what we now call gravel bike rides. I was in Banff in the late 70s and we were riding the park trails that were gnarlier than California trails. I moved to Whistler in the late Eighties and what was happening in the Shore was mind blowing but there was a bunch of Northshore boys that moved to Whistler and started influencing the trail building and riding in Whistler and Whistler took off. It’s expensive to live in Whistler so there was an exodus of riders and trail builders to Squamish 15 or so years ago and wow it’s gone ballistic.
Vancouver really is the true birth place of Mountain Biking but now it’s a criminal offence to build or maintain trails, with a 10000$ fine and/or 6 months in jail.
@bruford911 It’s Province-wide legislated in 2017 I think. Look it up. I’d post a link but this Commie platform won’t let us. I was threatened and forced by DNR with that new law to stop maintaining and improving trails after it was legislated.
lol the sync'd "Good how are you?" @ 2:00
I was trying to find a comment like that
The Good ol Canadian canary hello

Awesome riding as always. I need to go ride this soon. It’ll be fun to see the gaps you were pulling for in person. Nice to keep myself in check 😂
You should come to Mega next year bro! Was good even without the pic blanc start

Gorgeous trail!
Remy trying to start a war with Californians)
Flying down rideroads was technically mountain biking, but what we consider modern mountain biking was definitely born in BC.

Marin County, that's where it started. You should visit the mtb museum they have there

Nope i kept both
@@remymetaillerraw nice! 2 better than 1. 🤙
Beautiful trail and you're always lookin' for the most sketchy way to go down where i would take the chicken line😂
Mt Tamalpais Mill Valley Ca.!!
Miss the shore
smooth operator
It really is.
Whistler 😎 Saturday
Do you cut your videos yourself?
Chi-wan is where your bike was born
As a Californian, Mt Tamalpais begs to differ..
"mountain biking" was invented in California. It didn't become "Mountain Biking" until Vancouver's north shore crowd got a hold of it. 😎
@@T3H455F4C3wrong you just contradicted yourself in that sentence
Who cares tbh it's a bit like the poutine, just eat the poutine 😂
first also nice video
Sorry, no. Mt Tam.
Best place? Maybe...but definitely not the "birthplace."
Lu rain biking was started by Americans on Mt. Tam on modified clunkers if not for them you’d be riding a road bike. 😂🤡
Like all the road bikes in the 80s relabeled mountain bikes? IMO only clunkers existed until nearly 2000, when legit suspension came along.

Doesn't seem to be slowing anyone down...
Vancouver took mountain biking and made it what it is today. Ca birthed it.
Is this true? Mt Tam or Vancouver?
It’s too bad North Van is now New Tehran. Iran bought it during the plandemic using interest free Sharia Mortgages.

Nice rage-bait title
Uh, no its not
This is incorrect.
Why?
Remember back when Vancouver was occupied by Canadians?
I miss those days
So you’re a First Nation native?
The North Shore is now a Muslim territory.
New Tehran/North Van isn’t Canadian anymore and it really really sucks
How so?
Oh please, mtb started way before.. First proper race was in 1902.
