I feel like throne would work pretty well naming monks since prowess and the token generation are both triggered abilities. Kind of a "win more" card in such a low curve aggro-y deck tho.

Legend is such a good commentator, his narrating in these games is as interesting as the game itself. WotC should finally hire him for tournaments as a commentator.

I played against a version of this that used Ledger Shredder, and it was pretty unique. I barely survived, but it was fun to play against. Glad to see Monastery Mentor get some awesome use. What a great way to start off 2024. Happy new year to you and yours, good sir! 🎃🎉
What a scrappy deck. It puts me in the mind of the old Boros Feather decks with all the clever tricks you could pull with 10th district legionnaire and various instant speed cantrips.
I don’t miss Feather decks because I never ran one and lost to a lot of them (I was bad at Arena standard) but in truth I do miss Feather because I always felt their play cycle felt unique compared to the other standard decks at the time.

I unsubscribed from Arena's YT channel the moment I read about them sacking you for "financial reasons". Magic is a great game, and you are making it even better, but it's a shame it's being run by one of the worst, scummiest, greediest companies we have to date. I planned on paying for every pre-release bundle, since now I got some more money on the side, but I won't give those greedy goblins one cent, until I see some genuine change. I hope I'll be able to join your Patreon asap. Your content has always been premium and you deserve everything. Have a good one!
At first I was gonna ask what's the argument for Get Lost over Fateful Absence, but then I started leaning more towards Get Lost. 2 1 mana activation map tokens that can only be used at sorcery speed are a bit clunkier than 1 2 mana activation clue token that can be used at instant. I guess the other side of the argument is that the map tokens can potentially allow them to dig 1 card deeper and make a creature slightly bigger.
Just wondering, why only two Make Disappears? It seems like a few times you were hoping to draw one and I couldn't help but wonder why not put more in there. Also, what would you cut if you did put more in? Thanks for consistent and great content!
In a meta with lots of Monored it's not that great, especially if you're on the draw. Cavern of Souls also makes it weaker vs decks like Dinosaurs, Pirates or Soldiers. But would definitely want all four copies in the 75 for the control matchups.
guess my arena premium ran out trying this list, but i could get nothing working. played 6 games all removal tribal or big reanimator. guess il go back to timeless.
very interesting deck idea - i played something similar, but sultai and the mana is always painful in historic. i wanted to use surveil with sedgemoor witch and the titania elemental + land. Green Black has many mulch effects, but Titania never turned out to be a great payoff, unfortunately. azorius might just be the right color shell to start with

Throne probably wouldn’t work too well with Mentor, since Mentor wants lots of noncreature spells, but Throne wants lots of creatures.

Protect the negotiators is a great add here, syncs well with the monks trigger
I've tried protect in a lot of decks, and it always feels a little win more. I find the consistency of make disappear is usually better.

Feels like that one mana blue spell that phases things out might benefit this deck greatly, since Sunfall and Farewell defeat the graveyard recursion.
Usually prefer a counterspell, otherwise it still eats all the Monk tokens while Incubating.

After going 1-7 in bronze with this deck list, I am the greatest.

Also relevant is destroying Enchantments like Ossification or Leyline Binding.
Get Lost is way better in the current enchantment heavy standard, not even close.
Not to mention you can kill the explore target or sometimes even keep their board empty to prevent them from using the tokens in the first place
I just don't understand how a Mythic-ranked opponent sees your Get Lost and still goes for the shield counter on Titan...
Most Mythic players aren't really good. They get there by playing lots of time and pilot meta decks. Usually as a braindead zombie.
I was thinking the same thing. Go for the rhino! GO FOR THE RHINO! but no, only disappointment.

Personally don't think this deck is good for bo1, just gets demolish by mono red. But a solid bo3 deck
