    Great update Nodrog, the Class 805s really do look great being honest, the 'upgrade' of the IETs, but need to test that by riding on one which I haven't yet

    Good to see the Bi-mode class 805 Evero fleet replacing diesel only class 221 Voyagers on the Euston to North Wales services
    Phil is at Manchester Oxford Road

    I like the livery. The proof of the pudding wil be in the seating. Seats in East Goast and Great Western IETs are Treasury specials. You gets what you pays for. I believe Lumo seats are more comfortable.

    I do like the new name “Evero” for the Class 805 and Class 807. And Class 805 that are replacing the Class 221 Voyagers with some gone to Grand Central and some to CrossCountry. Plus Levenmouth Rail Link in Scotland is now officially reopened.

    It's amazed me how Avanti have "MAGICALLY" got the staff to run these services when Pendelino services out of Euston are cancelled on a daily basis due to shortage of staff... It stinks

      are the staff at avanti trained on all types of units. you mention the pendos being cancelled out of Euston whas it the same thing with the 221 units too. would like to know how many crew are needed on a 9 car and 11 car pendo compared to the 5 car 221 and now 805 units. i.e. 1 driver and 1 crew per coach or 1 driver and 1 crew per 2 coaches. suppose it depends on the rules and regulations of crew required to numbers of crew who turn up for work. it is far easier to get enough crew to work the smaller units than the longer pendos

    What’s different apart from the livery

    • @darrylrichardson7940
      @darrylrichardson7940 3 месяца назад +1

      the biggest difference is the max permitted speed because the pendos can tilt its 125 because the 805 units do not tilt they will be restricted to 110 mph until network rail up grade the tracks. but even worse the other new avanti units the 7 car 807 will be restricted to how many can run at the same time in certain areas as they require more electricity out put than is available right now. so it is to be another upgrade for the taxpayers to pay for so the Avanti owners can make a furtune from us.
