You do realize by putting 4 only 4 quarts into the VQHR engine in the G37 you are underfilling it by a quart and a half! These engines are 5.2 quarts. or so with the filter not 4! Its constiant with my G. If anyone is in doubt please consult your owners manual for the proper specs. Runnning a quart short on this specific engine is not good to do at all!
James Scimone thanks Infiniti mechanic 🙂 another question so my G has a slight common problem according to forums, when I go over 3k rpms I hear a slight ticking noise in the cabin. I have no performance loss but it’s just annoying. Any idea what it could be
You really only need the filter hand tight. Running the engine will create pressure thus making the filter even tighter.
Thank you for calling them screws instead of bolts. :)
5 gallon jug 😂
Do I NEED to get a new drain plug?
No, but you need a crush washer to do it properly
no, but you nay want to change the washer.
You can also just buy and ez-drain plug that you never have to replace: ezoildrainvalve.com/index.html

NTSTK G37X I was going to say the same thing but I think he got the memo.
My oil wasn’t topped off by a shop and I blew my engine a few weeks later
NTSTK G37X There's leftover oil in the engine, you add 4 quarts and check the level and top it off. Which is what he did.
