This waa so helpful but maybe I missed it, you have to change the crush washer. I also had the missing emblem, I thought it was just my car. Thanks, I just starting changing my own oil due to the price increases.
Ya change the crush washer if you can. It gets much cheaper doing it ourselves. I'm glad I could help! Remember to be safe and put some jack stands before going under the car. 👍

Do you know what capacity jack stand will work to jack up both the front wheels like you did in this video? Will a 2 ton jack do the job? Thanks.
Yes 2 ton is perfect!
The engine holds 5.2 quarts. That's 5 quarts and about 6.5 ounces. When you pour it all in it's gonna show a little over full on the dipstick because it hasn't gotten into the filter until you start it up.
do you need to replace the drain plug? i see some ppl do that and do you think thats necessary?
No you don't need to unless it's leaking oil. You could replace the washer also if it's leaking. Only don't tight more than necessary

I changed my oil by myself and now my transmission is slipping you have any idea why
that's not related to oil change. if the transmission is slipping it is because the clutch disk is going bad assuming you have a manual transmission
@@CarModsGarage nope got an automatic it was fine before I did it I added 5.5 when it said 5.2 but didn’t think it was even that

@@Emilio_aruiz there is no connection (oil connection) between engine and transmission. Unless you removed the transmission oil but then you wouldn't be able to add all that oil to the engine.
So you went under the car and took one bolt out. Did you mess with any wiring or other bolts?
@@CarModsGarage just that bolt and filter didn’t do anything else that I think of that’s why this is so confusing

It was 2010 or 2012 I can't remember.

My jack is 4 Inch to 10 inches
Wouldn’t fit my G. What can I do?
if it is because you car is too low I would get a large board and drive on it so it would lift the car a bit then you can fit your jack in there. I would not go under the car without a stand though.
You gotta get a low profile jack, I got two, one from Harbor freight and a Big Red from Pep boys, I like the Harbor Freight Aluminum one better.
Ya I have one from Harbor Freight also. They work great.

It boggles my mind when people know their car takes a certain amount of oil and they still under-fill it then check the dipstick, knowing it's gonna be low!!!
