      For an oil change you really only need some ramps

      Thanks, I want to make more videos about the G, but it is so reliable that not much breaks on it. I guess that’s a good problem to have.

      Lol, Thanks. The Addidas Sambas shoes are very comfortable. The black ones hold up very well when I work on cars.

      I have a 2013 G 37 Journey Sedan! Just the Automatic, but in addition to style they make great Driving Shoes because I use my Left foot for the brake and my Right foot for acceleration! P.S. my car has about the same miles!

    Where can I get an OEM washer/drain plug like the one you used?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  Год назад +3

      Hi, I purchased a pack from Amazon. I don’t think they are OEM from Infiniti, but they fit and worked great for the G37. It’s the same one I used in the video. Here is the link to the amazon item I purchased.

    is it normal for my back wheels to lift off the ground when i jack the front ones?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  Год назад

      Yeah, the back wheel lifts off the ground slightly when I jack up the front wheel. Make sure you use jack stands if you are going under the car.

    Did you cut rear part of the engine under splash cover to change oil easily (not to remove the whole splash cover) ??

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  Год назад +2

      Hi,
      Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t even realize the engine splash shield was cut. The previous owner probably cut the plastic piece to make it easier to drain and change the oil filter. I’m glad they did a pretty good job cutting it.

      @@Qkfltpdls777 no need to cut it off. Just remove the 4 10mm closest to the rear of the car on the splash shield & use an short bungee cord or cut an aluminum clothes hanger to fold back the flap & hold it in place. Saves lots of time & you still have full access to the drain plug & the oil filter.

    • @DIYwithDUY

      The maximum full amount is usually 5.2 quarts max. I only use 5 quarts. The 5 quarts works out perfect on my G37. It gets the oil level pretty close to the maximum level and I don’t have to worry about overfilling the engine oil. Make sure you double check your oil dipstick level after you finish changing the oil. The oil needs to be between the minimum and maximum mark on your oil dipstick. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

      5.2 quarts or 5 quarts and 6.4 ounces of oil. I just measure the 6.4 ounces in a plastic cup on my kitchen scale.
