      Yes, you are correct, sliding the battery up into the battery adapter might be a bad idea if the battery doesn’t click in place. We have not had any issues with the battery coming off yet. My newer projects have the battery holder flipped 180 degrees so the battery slides down into the adapter. I haven’t tried installing the batteries horizontal yet. I will try horizontal mounting on the next conversion.

      Hi, thank you for reaching out to me regarding a custom built Razor. Unfortunately, I do not do custom builds for people at the moment. The maximum speed for this particular Power Rider 360 is 17mph. It can be upgraded with a larger 72v motor, with 4 dewalt battery packs wired in series to increase top speed. Speeds above 20mph get scary due to the drifting castor wheels on the rear of the power rider.

      Sounds like the safety toggle switch is triggering. If I remember correctly, the power switch has a built in safety relay. I would get a different power switch without a safety relay or use a dewalt battery adapter that has a built in switch. Hi, this particular Razor Power 360 goes 16 MPH with my daughter on it. This can be dangerous if kids go full throttle and turn really hard. The power rider can tip over if going too fast into a turn. My daughter is very experienced with upgraded razor scooters and razor dirt bikes. She knows to adjust the speed accordingly when going into turns. Please make sure your kids wear correct safety gear when riding. Hi, Thanks for pointing out issues you noticed. My wife has a very low risk tolerance, so I always hear warnings with every project we work on. I grew up in the 80’s and used to ride with no helmet, no gear and no shoes. I thought I was doing enough by making her wear a motorcycle helmet. I’ll make sure she wears more protective gear and closed toed shoes on future videos and projects. She was a little shaken up when this wheelie happened, but the next day, she was flying on it. It’s her favorite bike right now. I don’t hear complaints from her telling me it’s too slow anymore. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. We are always trying to learn more as we go.

      @@DIYwithDUY Sorry if I was a bit aggressive. Just found out another one of my best friends (my last one, really) died like a week ago. Anyway my father rode in the eighties with a kinda similar mindset, a few years ago nearly killed my mom (brain bleed) riding without helmets so I guess take this stuff extra serious. Please enforce safe riding standards, they're standards for a reason. I've got stepdaughters who's dad puts 'em on 30 mph scooters and stuff without so much as a helmet and one of them hit her head awhile back. Luckily she happened to hit dirt but just as easily could have hit concrete a few inches away. I don't think she rides anymore. I'd personally prefer they be wearing gear and not need it than the other way around. Btw maybe give her a tutorial on how her newly powerful bike functions BEFORE you send her off with it. I know it's easy to slip your mind when y'all are excited but one small mistake can have dire consequences. Thank god she flipped it when she did otherwise 1 twitch on the throttle at speed and she's could be in a world of hurt. I'm sure she's a tough kid but even something as small as losing a toenail or breaking something can have long term effects, both physical and mental (speaking from a lot of personal experience). Would hate for her to get hurt bad enough to ruin her love of riding. Glad she's okay and enjoys the upgrade you did for her. Stay safe man. Thanks for handling the feedback with grace.

      @DIYwithDUY 18 дней назад

      Yes, I will definitely torque the new bolt when it arrives and will turn an additional 60 degrees. I didn’t add oil to the threads on the old bolt and I am afraid the old bolt is weaker than a new bolt. I didn’t want to risk the bolt head snapping off if I tightened it more. The Acura service manual says you need to lubricate the threads and washer when installing. I will make an updated video with the correct installation process when the new bolt arrives.

    I had an issue with my air mix control motor, passenger side, a couple of months ago. It's a hard part to find and it can be expensive. To try to save some money, I took out the motor and opened up the plastic casing. The electrical "pins" were covered in grease, so I wiped them clean, put it all back together, and now it's good as new. Just a tip: make sure you re-install the motor the right way, or have pictures before taking the small motor apart.

      Hi, We have had our Acura ZDX since 2011. It has been a great vehicle and we still love it. It gets more compliments now than it did when it was new. People used to think it was ugly and weird looking. The ZDX is relatively easy to fix when things go wrong. Most of the engine and mechanical parts are interchangeable with the more common 2007-2013 Acura MDX. Over the past 13 years, we have gone through 3 alternator replacements, 1 starter, 1 A/C compressor, and 3 batteries. That’s pretty much it for repairs over the past 13 years. The rest was normal maintenance that all internal combustion vehicles need. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Yes I was checking with it. I’m using a 20v dewalt. I can see the 20v coming in, but I never see it hit the motor side. Was wondering if the controller shorted out maybe

    • @DIYwithDUY

      Sounds like you need to double it up to increase the voltage to 40V. 20v is not enough voltage to power the controller. Wire another dewalt 20v battery in series to make 40v. That should be enough power for this controller to turn on. Let me know if that fixes the issue.

      Great, let me know if you run into any issues. It should be a pretty straight forward conversion to get the scooter running. It is usually the battery that goes bad in these razor scooters. If you replace the battery and it is still not working, it is most likely the controller.

    • @DIYwithDUY

      Hi, I have not replaced the driver side blower actuator. The things I have replaced regarding our Acura ZDX A/C is the blower motor under the glove box, a/c resistor under the glove box, A/C relay under the engine hood, A/C fuse under the steering wheel, and A/C compressor. I think you are right. If AC is cold, I would replace the blend door/air mix motor actuator for the driver side. If that doesn’t work, maybe replacing the radio/navigation/A/C control panel. If it was me, I would replace the cheaper blend door/air mix motor first.
