    Hey man great video from beginning to end. Concise. I’m doing the same for my daughters razor e100. Thank for the list of parts as well.

    Would 3 batteries in series work for 60v? Could there be a bms malfunction of any sort by using 3 in series?

      Yes, you can wire up 3 in series to get 60v. The dewalt 20v battery packs do not have a built in BMS. Most people use a low voltage cutoff to make sure the batteries do not get damaged from over discharging. Check out this other RUclipsrs build. ruclips.net/video/ISR8pKoIa5k/видео.htmlfeature=shared

    Would a single 40v battery work as well as two 20v batteries wired in sequence?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, a single 40v battery would be identical to two 20V batteries wired in series. The reason why I use two 20v batteries is because of the compact size of each battery. The smaller size makes them easy to mount almost anywhere. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for checking out the video.

    I’m trying to do this with an E 90 scooter. I even bought a bigger motor. Tried to follow your steps. Still can’t figure it out. Somethings not connected right or the speed controllers defective because I tested the motor with the battery and the motor works.

      Hi, check out this video.

      Let me know if you still have issues getting the controller to send voltage to the motor.

      So do I need to buy the motor as well if I’m doing this on a e90? Will this motor fit on a e90 by chance? Great video!

      @@wanderinggunner8503 Hi, unfortunately, the e100 motor does not bolt up to the e90 scooter. I have tried. The motor looks similar, but the e100 motor is bigger and doesn’t fit without modifying the motor mount. The e90 scooter worked well with a 20v Dewalt battery upgrade. That is probably the maximum upgrade that scooter can handle. The front brakes on the e90 scooter gets scary if you go any faster. Thanks for checking out the video.

      So I figured out the problem. I had to get a new speed controller kit because the one I bought before was defective and also I did put a bigger motor on the E 90 i bolted it on the top. Near the foot brake

      @@DIYwithDUYcan I use the same throttle grip and controller on the e90 with just one battery?

    Hi can you do this on a non power core e100?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  2 месяца назад

      Yes, this conversion also works on E100 without the power core motor. You might want to add a voltage regulator in between the 36v controller to the 24v factory motor. I have noticed the power core hub motor can handle more voltage than the chain driven E100 motor. If you want the E100 chain driven scooter to be reliable, you should limit the voltage to approximately 30V. I will post a conversion video for the E100 non power core scooter conversion soon. Thanks for watching.

    how long on the batteries?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  2 месяца назад +1

      My daughter can ride for over 40 minutes on this scooter non stop. We have multiple battery packs and swap them out after 40 minutes for freshly charged batteries.
