Hi great ideas. Jessica has a wheel throwing video on the secret shaker. I made one but it is small as I was just starting out. Love the videos. Haven't seen you in a while. Glad your back. Allen
I loved the kiln opening 😍 everything turned out so beautifully. Made me want to buy obsidian to put under some of my other glazes. The Albany slip brown looks like a great glaze as well. Congratulations on an awesome kiln opening
Awesome video. We went to the pottery class a couple of weeks ago, great time and made things afterwards. Love the various glazes. May hand 🖐 thrown clay be used in the kiln? We still haven’t used it yet the instructor said if we’re nervous may stop by to watch our process and help 💝 Thank you for the reminder!
That is awesome Tanya. Yes, you can fire your clay to the temperature or cone size that it indicates. Your instructor will know what firing temperature your clay is. Thank you so much for sharing. 😊
Hello, I’m Ron. I love watching your videos, your voice is so beautiful, calming, and you are great at making the videos full of content. You’re editing is perfect. I took a ceramics class in high school, but that was 20 years ago. I wanted to start playing with it again so I bought some clay on Amazon expecting it to be similar to what I used. Unfortunately it’s air dry clay and I am finding it difficult to figure out what to do with it. I don’t seem to be able to think of what I should make or how to get started on an extremely tight budget. I live in Providence, Rhode Island and I don’t have access to a kiln that I know of. If you could address these issues in some videos I would be forever grateful. The videos you do have on here are helping me a lot. Thank you for spreading your light among us.

@@PotteryCrafters Thank you so much, that is very useful information for me. I didn’t know you had a website. I am so excited to read all kinds of information on there. You are an incredible person. The help you provide is amazing. Thank you so much. I absolutely love you.
Thank you, Ronald. You can go to potterycraters.com and type in what information you are looking for in the search 🔍 and I may have an article on it. 😊👍
Love your glaze combos! I am a beginner at ceramics, have been testing floating glazes and they tend to run down so much sometimes they stick to the shelf. Any advice on that? Your glazes seem to stop running right at the bottom. How do you achieve it?
Thank you. Yes that will happen until you get to know which glazes run more than others. If you apply two running glazes the glaze will flow more. Plus the glaze runs more at Cone 6 than Cone 5. I usually apply a stable glaze first then top a flowing glaze on the rim or a third of the way down my piece. I also use kiln cookies which helps just in case. Here is the link for you. potterycrafters.com/how-to-make-kiln-cookies/ 😊 Here is link for one of my flowing glaze videos that may help ruclips.net/video/uX-Kugvt4hQ/видео.html
I would love to hear your ideas on how to turn this into a money making adventure, along with what kind of time and monetary investment is required. I know this is not a inexpensive endeavor but is it possible to do it in a cheaper way?
Hi Ronald. These articles should help. Here are the links for you potterycrafters.com/how-to-start-a-home-pottery-studio/potterycrafters.com/starting-a-pottery-business/ Home studio prices are a little less than business studio prices. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. 😊
That is a very good question, Karen. I put clear glaze only in the middle on the bottom where it does not touch the kiln shelf. I can only apply the clear glaze if trimmed my bottoms. 😊
Albany slip brown is one of my favorite glazes. I buy it buy the gallon. The thinner you apply it the darker it gets and the thicker you apply it the lighter it gets. 👍😊
Great glaze combos....I really like your microwave steamer with the Albany Slip Brown and Textured turquoise. Will you please do a tutorial for your salt and pepper shaker? ❤️❤️
🤗Sorry babe, but I can't let ya walk around with your clef on backwards.🙄 Flip your stencil over next time. I'm obesed with the obsidian, Indigo float.
@@PotteryCrafters Don't feel bad. I doodles it badly, twice before I figured it out and I draw them so much I can do it in my sleep. My husband only left me one cup of coffee this morning so I blame him for this mornings fog. I was on caffeine fumes.
As someone who's getting started with glazing combos, I love this and thank you. Also, you've got such a chill voice. I love it.
Thank you so much. 😊
Thanks for these combinations. Will certainly try some. We appreciate your sharing.😄
That's great William. Thank you. 😊
Thank Marie, some lovely combinations there. So many lovely ones I couldn’t pick my favourite 😊
Thank you so much Cariad 😊
You know I love the blue bowl. The candle holder with the same colors would look awesome xx
Great idea!! Thank you so much Michelle 😍

Question…you have put a clear glaze on the bottom of most pieces. Are you stilting them in the kiln?
That is a very good question, Karen. I put clear glaze only in the middle on the bottom where it does not touch the kiln shelf. I can only apply the clear glaze if trimmed my bottoms. 😊
11:09 Just beautiful.
Thank you so much 😊
The Albany Slip is nice, but it's crazy how far off it is from the actual Albany slip. Not at all like it.
Albany slip brown is one of my favorite glazes. I buy it buy the gallon. The thinner you apply it the darker it gets and the thicker you apply it the lighter it gets. 👍😊
What types of brush is perfect
