Tonewinner used to make these toroidal transformers for the previous generation of Emotiva XPA 2 Gen 1 back in 2008 with Jade Design the Joint Venture went Class H amplifiers in the newer Emotiva and Tonewinner amplifiers.
Emotiva wanted to bring down the weight for shipping. Remember Gene from Audioholics loved the original mono-block from Emotiva.
These are just impractical weight to ship from the PRC; like 75lbs? Hope you have a heat pad and some oxys for your back. I think he direct ships from PRC to your home.
I am waiting for Amir to come out with a next generation of the Tonewinner processor with HDMI v2.1 switching, web UI and DTS:X Pro front wides. Amir could white label brand his own processor with the Summit HiFi badge.
They are very heavy for sure. They shipped freight from his store in Canada. I kinda stay away from the back story but let's just say the guys that make these Amps make Amps for many brands we are all familiar with.
@hometheatergurus Emotiva is ready to release there Gen 4 processor platform and play catchup and leap ahead on price performance. No reason that IP is not in the next Tonewinner. The PRC has done more for HiFi in the last 5 years than Sony ES has in the last decade. Sad but true. Imagine Everolo brains and UI meet tonewinner Braun for a processor. We would not need Denon and this whole Apple watch fiasco with Masimo Health. Masimo purchased BW and Marantz Denon for pocket change to pretend they are in the consumer electronics business. As soon as the suit is settled. Masimo spins that audio unit out again.
Matches perfectly with the rz50. It would be great to see a review of this combination.
I'm really looking forward to your video on the Tonewinner subs! I've been hoping for someone to do outdoor ground plane testing on the 12" models because I'm considering two of them for my bedroom system. The 2000 model is so compact for a ported 12" that it's a compelling solution. Thanks so much man!

This is a beauty. From your tests, what channels trigger the VU meters? It is just the L/R channels or is it a summation of all the amp channels?

Seeing what this amplifier shows puts a big smile on my face. But I like to leave that screen off as the amp is going to be in the same room as my home theater speakers and equipment, including my computer. Of course, I do not need that much power until I get a dedicated home theater room.

I'll only by doing listening test over the next 6 months or until something else comes along. I push them pretty hard. The actual factory that makes these for Hifi Summit makes a lot of amps from known manufacturers as well.

How is this compared to emotiva amps ?
XPA-11 Gen3 11 can do this but it also costs almost double (almost!), it offeres a bit more watts for the LCR but 2x less for the surrounds.
If i can find this SUmmit amp in Europe, my whole plans for bed level + height speakers might change.
That crate alone is worth $200 💪🏼

?. How does the dual transformer model have less power than the TW-8300? I would think the dual would carry more current there for more power. Thx.
The amp modules themselves dictate the power on each channel. The dual power supplies allow more current so you don't have the possible bottle neck you do with one.
Would you happen to know if these are more comparable to the monolith 11/7x amps? Specifically the A7 compared to the 7x spec wise.

It's an amp. No amp has room correction software. That's a processor or AVR you're thinking of.
Its a multichannel power amp, mate! What room correction? Any room correction takes place before the signal reaches the power amps...

Well it looks like a good unit I hope it sounds good I did buy the TW 7300 after watching your video and its been doing a good job but having a 11 channel would be nice I have another amp from Anthem doing by other channels and the TW sounds better to me with the Oppo205 and Linn Majik 140 speakers all 4 ohm ...go figure i paid more money for the Anthem than the TW and I bet this new one from summit hi fi will sound better than what i have now! Canadian company but they probably do as much business in the US than they do Canada. Shipping times are quick. The amp took a week to come in.

What does physical media have to do with home theaters? Speakers are obsolete only if you watch silent films. Most of us stream a ton of content btw. Home theater, which has been growing for decades has exploded the last few years.
@@hometheatergurus They are still absolute you don't if the streaming movies tend to be choppy depending on your Internet as well you really don't own those movies . Having physical speakers and receivers are lame. It's death of home theater. How many times do u see people now days buying receivers or high end speakers .
