I love NPCs realizing the player can't escape conversation with them and holding them hostage until the player agrees to help them...
And a lovely little Shenmue reference in the dialog choices! Great work man!
Glad I wasn’t alone
I thought he was going to try freeing him only to realize he couldn't because he'd already fulfilled his quest.
"Some other guy doing the same quest will get you within three to five minutes at most. There were several other players waiting to kill the slaver demon when he respawns."
That would be a creative "punishment" for players not saving everyone when they are only required to save some.

There's no need for Hell when you're a player stuck in an unskippable cut scene...
I usually go to pee or get some tea during these unskippable interactions.
Also, I was expecting the old man to turn into a demon or reveal some secret shortcut to the main quest. Like no one listens to him usually, so it's like an easter egg.
"So you're just going to let me rot here?"
"...yeah😕"
Brilliant. His reaction to the heart killed me.
Do you know of a place where sailors hang out?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 great reference!!!! I ask people that on a daily basis just to see if anyone ever gets it🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow that was awesome! You did a great job with animation and voice for a first attempt! Thumbs up!👍

Well… if the option to rescue the old man is no longer active since the quest is complete the old man might just kill them both with a never ending monologue 🤔
These gaming animations are perfectly accurate and pure gold
So now I'm going to be on the lookout for games that notice when you only do the bare minimum to satisfy the quests and then nerf your speedrun with unskippable exposition. ;-) (because I'd ABSOLUTELY do that if I was making a game)
I love Joel Havers videos like these, and now we get more by other people, thats awesome!

We can’t bust heads like we used to-but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don’t go anywhere like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so I decided to go to Morganville which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So, I tied an onion to my belt which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel. And in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. ‘Give me five bees for a quarter,’ you’d say. Now, where were we? Oh, yeah! The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
"Believe me, I've tried."
