You gave it hell this year. Between work, travel and hunting you’ve gone after it pretty hard.. My hats off to you brother. We only got so many years of prime time chasing critters in the woods. Enjoy it while you can. Keep it up man !
Any day you can be in the woods is a good day. I work too damn much! So I really enjoy your videos, because they're real and not commercialized. Keep it going. I live through your experiences
Just love your films . Good advise to all, if shots are poor, lack of confedience, then back off until the confidence is back. I did the same is past late season while recovering from surgery. My indoor shooting suffered and lost confedience. we owe it to the animals we hunt.
🎶I'm shufflin' to my deer stand, but there' snow in Mississippi, I'm shufflin' to my deer stand, but there's snow in Mississippi, the piggies they are everywhere, I can't believe my arrows' missing...🎶😎
Been watching those pigs all year, dang lee took you to one of my spots i"ll have to get on him about that lol. Hate I missed you was in AZ for an adoption maybe next year.
Lot different swamp hunting that's what I've done my entire life in Florida it's hard. I went up North to hunt for the first time not long ago and I had no clue what I was doing and then finally somebody told me get in the tree wherever there's food growing you'll shoot a deer LOL and that's exactly what happened. The deer up north are a lot easier for my perspective than they are in the deep South or deer are pressured a lot and we don't have a lot of fields of food growing and if you're on a WMA you can't use any kind of attractant so you pretty much got to follow what kind of food is dropping from what plant or tree during the season and hunt them areas.
@@ryanwindham2997 you're right but if I would have said that somebody on here would have got butt hurt because I said that's what I hunt my whole life and then well you know lol. I agree with you 100% I've hunted lots of terrain but primarily swamps and they are the hardest to figure out by far.
Hey Catman you sounded a little down don't beat yourself up to bad stuff happens and its happened to almost everyone me included thanks that was actually some really cool content . 🐗🏹👊
Are you shouting the bear paradox? How do you like it? I got one this season and loved it until my bottom cam almost rubbed completely through my string
Catman, I noticed the change of sticks. I am trying to decide between the two that you have used recently. What were your thoughts if you can comment without burning any bridges? If not I understand. Thanks.
They’re both really good. Timber Ninjas are quieter out of the box, but the Tethrd Ones are lighter and feel more solid when climbing. I got stealth strips for the Ones and am looking forward to using them more this upcoming season. The cleat button is awesome too.
@@CatmanOutdoors Thanks. I am looking at the Beast Sticks also. I have been using Lone Wolf sticks but trying to carry less but still reach the necessary heights. Take care.
Welcome to monotonous Mississippi swamps. Most of the time it’s just about being in the right spot at the right time. Cant really focus on any particular “feed tree”. Just my experience with hunting that particular swamp and others like it for the last 8-9 years.
Al hunt Swamp deer All the time in Gatesville North Carolina We kill them every year And it's also full of black bear Hunting swamp deer is very fun It can be difficult at times but it is fun very fun
Kinda new to your channel. Not exactly sure where you are but is there a limit on hogs? I know they are a nuisance that destroys everything. But I always wondered about hogs and coyotes if there was a limit. If you get a chance to answer thanks in advance!
What was all that creaking going on when you drew back? Wow. That pig wasn't hurt seeing as it was an expandable.. Never made it inside of it anyway.. Way to put forth the effort to find those pigs...
Well with the way things started I thought at the very least you would go home with a cooler full of ham sammyches, but that's bow hunting. I would love to go hog hunting someday, we don't have that many where I live and MDC in all it's "wisdom" has decided to make it illegal to kill hogs on MDC Conservation Areas, so unless you have private property your S out of Luck.

THP changed their set ups based upon what he's taught them. Solid info on getting better Penetration and he gets complete pass throughs on adult pigs. Anyway, it's been a successful and adventurous year. Thanks for sharing your hunting experiences with us. Didn't get that last bonehead this season, eh? 🦌
I did the same thing this deer season. I missed a nice 8pt at 24yds broadside in the wide open. Then missed a Doe at 33yds. Missed another 8pt at 37yds, called him back and shot him at 24yds. Never found him. This has never happened to me and I was so discouraged in my ability to ethically kill one, I stopped for a week. I was drilling the target at any distance without a problem. I ended up shooting a buck on November 3rd, but I glanced one off his shoulder at 4yds, bleated him right back took off my new glasses and drilled him like I always use to. After that I hung the bow up for the year. I just couldn't get it figured out for one reason or another and I felt the best thing to do was focus on gun season.
At 12:58 you hit that poor hog on the snout...! Damn, dude: if you don't have a clear shot, or if you suck at shooting, don't go hunting ! Show some respect for animals...
Been a great ride with the Catman this year. Thanks again for helping feed our families. Gods speed to the Catman & Family

man, seeing those hogs in the snow was really a treat. I enjoyed this one quite a bit!
Looks to me like Saddlepalooza needs to have their annual get together there in Mississippi. Hawgs galore...
I hunt in Redwood north of Vicksburg. There were loggers the whole hunting season. I still got lucky.
What a beautiful sight, pigs in the snow! Awesome footage too!
Great video Catman! Those little ones are small targets, but you did get that one. I bet it was some great eating!

We got lots of public land here in Louisiana and better food lol. There's deer are rutting somewhere here from late September to early March.
awesome video it looked like a snout shot on the last one!
Enjoyed the hunting video
Hawgs are tough, vitals only with bow

WE all have been there and had bad days. I have lost my confidence this year and working on getting it back.
That's my year also, I missed two deer clean , I did get a small hog but in general gun but a 308 didn't leave much meat. Lol

Swamps like that in the video are the hardest to hunt in the US in my opinion. No particular place where the deer are gonna be.
