    A second time watching this excellent tutorial for what I consider a very difficult landscape subject. I've been trying to figure out how to paint a photograph I took of a mouth of a creek, on a beach full of river stones as far as the horizon can see. I will definitely use a lot of the techniques used here. THANK YOU, excellent tutorial.

    Love this. Me, I started out with crayons and drew on walls. I mean as soon as I could walk and hold a crayon! My mother must have gone mad! So, I was called the "Artist" in the family, but there was debate on whose side of the family I got it from. No one has figured out where I got the writing bug from. Hmmm... Thank you so much for this, David. Try to watch you on PBS, but our reception is somewhat laughable. (:

    I hate to ask you but would you Mind critiquing some of my work ? I am currently struggling with 1 foot in realism and impressionist style . I like both styles for different results / reason’s . Maybe they can both be mixed together I’m just not sure. For example , I like realism in my skies more than I do in my landscape , trees and shrubs I maintain abstraction mostly. I also do still life and I do like to paint still life more realism and have no problems with my still life work. it’s my landscapes that are suffering and I seem like I don’t have a direction. But I’m very happy and confident with my still life work . So I was wondering if maybe you can give me some tips on my landscape’s by looking at some of my work?

    David can you Please stop doing your audio in mono. when using head phones it is very annoying to go from stereo to mono in one ear only {left side)like in this video at 3:47. I watched one of your abstract videos yesterday and the whole thing was in mono i almost turned it off. this can be fixed in post very easily. just duplicate the audio track and pan it to the right. love your Art David! thanks

    • @DavidDunlopSimmonsArt
      @DavidDunlopSimmonsArt  Год назад

      HI, kmcnair123 - We do upload the stereo version. We will have to check this out. I did a little research and read that, on a mobile phone, if you only hear through one side on a headset then you can change your setting to Mono. On Windows literally just search "Mono" after hitting the Windows key and it's the first option that comes up. With Mac go to to System Preferences > Accessibility > Audio > Tick the checkbox for Play stereo audio as mono. Admittedly, this should not happen - and we will see if we can fix what went wrong with that upload because we record and upload in stereo. Thanks for letting us know your experience and sorry for the frustration. Kind regards, David and Connie
