I Beat Pokemon Violet With ONLY Critical Hits

- In this video, I beat Pokemon Violet while only dealing damage to Pokemon through critical hits.
Rules and Clarifications:
-I can only deal damage to a pokemon through critical hits. If I hit a pokemon with an attack that doesn't result in a critical hit, I have to close the game and restart from my previous save data.
-Auto battling is only allowed during Star Barrages.
-I can deal non-critical damage to Starmobiles.
-Any character I'm not controlling is allowed to deal non-critical damage.
-My opponent is allowed to take recoil damage from moves they use.
-Status effects that deal damage are only allowed if they’re the secondary effect of an attack that lands a critical hit.

For the record, Crits ignore attack (and sp. Attack respectively) drops on your mon, defense increases on the opponent, and also ignore any damage decreasing screens (reflect, light screen, and aurora veil) the opponent has. Regardless, a very entertaining video nonetheless, and an impressive feat given how underleved you were for most of it
Impressive? It's gen 9, man. If he played while blindfolded it would still be easy
@@StarmenRock we're talking about a run where you consistently have to give up at least a turn on every switch in, by someone who clearly isn't extremely well versed in Pokemon (no offense to Henke), with a sizeable level disadvantage. It's an impressive run. Sure, he used items, but i suspect you'd need at least level parity for this to even be considered in a run without items, and even then probably by planning out every fight.
@@StarmenRock That's cap. There's a lot of genuinely difficult fights in this game if you're underleveled (or even at the right level sometimes) and not using items. Like yeah, you could eat an encounter power normal sandwich, grind chanseys for half an hour, and make the rest of the game easy, but it's going to be hard if you're at minimum imposing level limits or trying to clear with the lowest time possible. I did a Pawmot solo where I tried to clear at the lowest level and time I could, and still hit multiple walls that required EV training or changing my moveset.

Seeing how the early battles are going, this is reminding me of a different run I saw of HGSS where attacking moves were banned as a whole.

actually, you're not required to catch the lechonk, but you do want to avoid having to use any moves that could possibly not be a crit. so catching it is a good decision.
