Cleatis passed away a couple of days ago. I've been with him on this boat several times over the years. RIP my friend. I'll never forget you.

legend. and im new here. im about to start doing this also. it is hard work for sure. but its a lot better then office or pella. when he said the most weight of fish he had on boat that is like a 6k check or so. thats good. damn. here i am bout to start it with a low riding boat. and yes nervous of sinking is for sure a real thing especially if you go out solo in the winter. it gets cold af here.

@WVliberty in illinois , catfish brings about .50 a pound. asian carp brings about .16 a pound. to really make a profit , you need a large boat (25 to 30 feet long). buffalo brings a good price too.

very good video. enjoyed it thoroughly. need more vids of real gillnet fishermen on here. clean fishing. unwanted fish get released alive. pure grade U.S. seafood. and shown that certain species can be harvested without catching others.

The fisherman doesn't determine the size of the fish caught, the size of the net`s mesh determines the size of the fish caught .

I'm not against commercial fishing 100 percent but I am about 80 percent bc taking those big catfish out the rivers even the 15 to 20 have potential to being 50lbers so why kill the waters. I don't understand. Catch the Asian carp that has our waters infested not all the catfish. I like to take my grand kids catfishing one day with the possibility to catch a trophy sized fish. I just can't believe what I just seen. It's ridiculous.

there's not enough commercial fishermen on the lakes and rivers , to even come close to harming the fish population .

Peeling Drag Catfishing I know you and you fish for big cat to win prize money so your statement on here is only harming yourself

Exactly right...This is way catfish population is depleted so bad.. There keeping the breeders.. common sense will tell you that you can not keep taking and taking from the waters and expecting every thing to be ok.. Between the damn pay lakes and hoop nets in are rivers there gonna take all or cat fish ... not to mention habitat damage.. pollution.. river damming.. they don't stand a chance
