Thank you! I too took a bit to finally try to set mine up. Your video was fairly clear and helpful. The only part I got confused about was how to get what was on the computer onto the tv as well (which apparently takes an additional HDMI cord to do) (tv to computer) :)
edit: apparently that last stuff I did did work. HOWEVER, was absolutely unnecessary lol. I got confused I guess -.-.
Xbox OUT to Elgato IN
USB to computer/other end into Elgato
tv to Elgato OUT
That SHOULD get it all to come through on a tv. Took me 5 hours and xbl support (the best kind aka friends)

Update: I had to reconnect my HDMI cable bc although the Screen XBOX displayed, I could not see the software.
Thanks. Very Helpful. I was daisy chaining my monitor by going into the PC HDMI, then using the digital cable to the monitor. It did take a moment to get the screen up. This is why I thought it didn't work I will use my camera for audio. I get echos and sometimes sound on commentary. What is best for commentary?
