Yeah! That’s what that little circle is for it’s for your mic, and sadly you will have to record a webcam while playing unless it’s on your Xbox (tv/monitor screen)

Hi thanks for this but after all I did the streaming and recording on Both the capture software and even elgato are working they lag and break do you think it's just my internet cause its working at 480 but the color is still not as sharp as what I am seeing in yours or my tv. What could be wrong please help.
So I want to get into making RUclips content. I have an Xbox series S and Nintendo Switch. Now I know as far as getting the output to my tv through the Elgato won’t be a problem, but here’s the real question. I have two laptops. One having Intel Pentium and the other having Intel Celeron. I know both are low end chips. The Pentium laptop however used to run everything smoothly with apps like Adobe, Fruit Loops, Music creator apps, RUclips, streaming apps, etc. I just wanna know since I won’t be streaming my content will it be ok to run a Software that’ll just be recording my gameplay? Also my Celeron powered Laptop does have 3.0 usb support I believe and I’m not sure if the Pentium one does.

I thought this whole time there had to be an HDMI that plugged into the Pc. Which my laptop doesn’t have. So now I know I can buy one of these for my xbox

Question. I have no intention of streaming. My goal is to use my IMac as a monitor to save space, really want to play Elden ring on my Mac.. does the video on the laptop come from the usb? And the hdmi out (in my case) could be disregarded because priority monitor would be the software. Is that correct? Thanks a bunch

regards, sorry for the inconvenience but am i new to this if your help can? i have an x box series x console and when i record the gameplay via ssd hard drive and process that video on my computer and then upload it to youtube the video is of very poor quality. i have tried all the options with export but there is no difference. do you have to go through this elgato card to achieve the quality as on my TV. thanks a lot in advance

apparently no, I am learning this as we speak on my own setup. I just get a black screen when I put it to 120hz and keep the cap card connected.
@@thomassuydam3203 from what I’ve seen only cap cards that can do 120 are external. I’m sure the tech will come out soon for the new consoles. 🤘🏼
damn so i upgraded to a xbox series x only to not play/record in 4k/120fps .... still stuck on 1080 60fps ...
@@LordeSwaggy I had to buy a new cap card, the el gato hd60s does not passthrough more than 60fps. I purchased the Avermedia Live Gamer Ultra and it works great.
@@thomassuydam3203 i been looking at that one but that one has no option to capture game chat audio/party chat with a 3.5mm port. Might just stick with my elgato hd60s

You need a custom cable on amazon make sure it has the thing to charge it and a thing to put in the hdmi

It will record part chats and game chats if you allow it in settings by switching audio to speakers and headphones.but for your own voice you will need a mic in your computer

I dont have a series x but i think since the UI is the same you should be able to stream through the twich app on xbox, but hooking up the capture card to your pc would give you more streaming options and settings(hope this helps)

How come when I have the elgato setup and everything’s working fine on my computers end, but when I try playing on my xbox I notice a huge difference in my frame rate. Is it due to me having two different types of hdmi’s hooked up to the elgato, meaning one of thems a newer hdmi and one of thems an older one I’ve had for years ? I just want to be able to play on my xbox without the frame lag while using my elgato. If anyone has solutions id highly appreciate it !

It limits your FPS because it’s a display output, which means what you see going in and out if it’s only capable of 60fps it’s only going to run 60fps

I'm using a MacBook 2015 where it requires an adapter to have USBs, which I do have and is a 3.0 usb. But on my computer it keeps saying usb 3.0 is required... Any help?
Go to your settings and privacy and enable the mic and camera for the elgato stream software 😌
