    Wonderful job! I love your results, too! I want to give this a try myself and was encouraged to hear that it doesn’t move around as much as the builder gel during sculpting. I’m eager to see the rest of your videos in this series!
    I started doing my own nails about four months ago and find your videos to be extremely helpful and informative. Thank you!
    Have a great week! 😊

      It's so much easier than builder gel sculpting with builder gel is an art I did it for over 18 months. I have probably another 4 videos but if there's ever anything you would like to see me do then please just leave a comment on glad your find my videos helpful. Xx

      Glitter Shine Nails. That’s a good idea.
      Have you seen the small acrylic clips that recently came out for use with dual forms/polygel nails? They are very inexpensive ... $3 to $5 a set ... and are supposed to hold the form in place while it cures. Have you tried them or are you willing to give them a go? It would be nice to have something to prevent slipping while curing or moving the hand into the lamp. I’m a little concerned about it leaving marks in the top of my nail, though.

    • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  6 лет назад +1

      I have seen them unfortunately I can't wear dual forms as my nail beds are too large for any of them. I would be concerned that they would leave marks on the nails. If it was me using them I might try holding it down slightly with my finger to flash cure it for 5 secs just to make that hold in place then remove the finger and carry on curing.

    I really enjoyed this video! That was my biggest problem when doing gel nails, was that it would keep lifting, I think I might just change the primer.... you did such a neat job and you would never have known this was your second time working with this product! I will be purchasing this and will give it ago. Thanks for sharing Amanda💖 xox

    • @GlitterShineNails

      +Tillys Nails xo I've always lifted but the naio nail dehydrator and primer are the best I've used so far you can even do 3 coats off primer if needed. I was well pleased how it came out in not used to filming like that but I love the product I think it's better than builder gel use way less product I've just got to get my application a bit better. Glad you enjoyed it thank you for watching. Xx

    Great video to learn from. I've been thinking about getting this but I am hesitant because i wasnt sure how it would do with natural nails. I have naturally long nails myself and use other gel, acrylic, and dips on my nails to keep them from breaking.

      This may not be pretty but you can cut a piece of tissue and glue it to the cracked nail then top it with UV builder gel. Builder gel can help heal your nails . I use AIMELI brand. It’s normally highly recommended in these videos and make sure you aren’t filing your natural nails too much ❤️❤️❤️ I had this issue with my toenails for some reason. I covered my big toe with the builder gel. I haven’t seen the natural nail in months but I feel like it DEF helped

      You can use dual forms so you do not need to use forms or tips anymore. It works even better with this kind of product I was surprised ! Check some tutorials about this on RUclips 😉

    • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  6 лет назад +1

      +TheClo1101 personally I think dual forms are not the way to go I'm seeing loads and loads of people having them snapping off and you can't build the strength and structure you need like you can with tips, sculpting or overlays. And another thing I'm seeing is that the dual forms don't fit everyone like myself i have nail beds to wide to use them.

    • @TheClo1101
      @TheClo1101 6 лет назад

      Glitter Shine Nails I do respect your opinion, but for me is the fastest way I found to do n'y own nails. It's very easier to do my right hand I'm so messy with the acrylic method and waist lots of time filing it 😂😂!

      I cant see why it wouldn't, I would try 60secs went it comes out tape it with your brush it will make a clear tapping sound when cured. If it sounds a dull tap cure again, or you could just cure for 90secs instead. If you have any nail tips try it on them first before on your nails. Hope this helps you. Great video I got my polygel stuff yesterday I tried one nail with the duel form things that was in the kit which was a bit easier I'm trained with acrylic I found it really difficult to sculpt using a nail form but I guess it takes time to get used to a new product I was wanting to do French nail would it be better to use a nail tip and apply the gel on top?

    • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  6 лет назад +1

      I personally don't like the dual forms they don't make a good enough apex for the nail to be strong. I work with nail forms they are difficult to start with but over the years I've got better at them. If you use nail forms with polygel it's better go use the clear forms as it cures the polygel underneath the full paper can't get right tho. With the French it would probably be better to have a base to work on like a tip or natural nail this would be my personal preference. Polygel takes time to master I've been using it for 9 months in still learning now, I do have a video on French polygel nails same as the baby boomer.

      No question in my eyes is dumb. Hi there is no difference, basically the company who started polygel is what they called it and everyone used that as the name. But it's actually acrygel by real name. But some Companies like bluesky use a completely different name like gum gel. So whether it's called acrygel, polygel gum gel it's the same thing. They are only that long because I have product on them. My nails grow easily however when they grow because they are weak they break and they curl. • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  5 лет назад

      Oh I wished I've of counted how many I did, but what I can say is I brought my first tube in Jan 2018 I only do my nails infill every 2-4 weeks depending on nails. I had to order a new tube back in March or April I think it was. And that was doing full sets as well every few months, i now when i first saw the price it massively put me off but to get well over a years worth from the 1 tube the price is well worth it. Just wanted to say thanks for the advice, I bought a cheaper brand for playing with for now, will probably upgrade to bluesky or maybe acrygel at some point. I bought Aimeili stuff, not bad. I think stickier and less firm at a guess, but cheap practice.
      I bought the nail files you recommend in a video from gelnailsuk, I never knew nail files could not have all the grit gone after 6 swipes, I saw a listing for twice as many unbranded for the same price, glad I went with the (still reasonably priced) branded ones instead. The quality really shows! Going to save me money and effort in the long run. Thanks for putting good advice out there!

It was just very sticky as I was trying to apply the product to the nail and it was sticking to the orange stick. Heeeeeeelllllp!?!! I thought this would be far more easier than acrylic. • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  5 лет назад +1

      Hi hun, what liquid are you using hun I just use isopropyl alcohol and this stops the stickiness of the product. To help with the orange wood stick wet it with the isopropyl alcohol and this will make the transfer of product much easier. If your still finding it sticky add a little more liquid to your brush. It is a very easy product to use but takes some time to get use to it. Hope this helps I'm always about if you need any more advice. Xx

    where can I find the liquid you used to apply the gel? can I use acetone or something like that?

    • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  4 года назад +1

      I wouldn't recommend acetone you need either isopropyl alcohol or gel cleanser. However both are in very high demand right now and very hard to find with a reasonable price. It took me a month to get some. I just purchase them from Ebay. Thank you very much for watching. Xx

    Hey, I was curious to know if they stay on the nails well (no lifting/stay until regrowth) or do they start to come off after a few days? And is it a soak-off product?

    • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  6 лет назад +1

      +Kay B I did do a removal video as well on the clear gum gel I had on and it's soak off. I've not had any issues with the nails coming off after a few days I've had gum gel on almost 6 weeks I've infilled them as well. I've had a tiny tiny bit off lifting but that's down to me learning a new product and application plus I'm a problem lifter anyway so to have a tiny tiny bit it's great for me.

      I'm sure I mentioned it in the video, I use isopropyl alcohol but you can use gel cleanser as long as they have isopropyl alcohol as an ingredient. Xx

    Why use this at the same length as your natural nail?

    • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  6 лет назад

      +Pamela Docherty it's just that I prefer overlays my natural nails grow long but there not strong so to give them the strength I overlay then. If one was to break I would then sculpt it so they where the same length. Hope this makes sense. Xx

    • @GlitterShineNails
      @GlitterShineNails  6 лет назад +1

      Nail products really are only harmful if there not applied or removed right. I've been using gum gel and other brands for 8 months and I've not had any problems. When I first started apply products I would only done one which was my thumb until I got use to applying it. Then I would love onto a whole hand and then final both. I also made sure I watched loads of videos so i really understood. Any questions I'm always about. X
