"I'm going to clear out under here, all this debris". That actually really made my day. A great shot of joy to think there are still people who care about the things that no-one sees and do it just because of their desire for perfection. What a great bloke, what inspiration and really useful information, very well presented.
all decent tradesmen do it, i do
I can't imagine there is a better plumber to have an apprentice work under...great instructor and a really pleasant bloke, skilled and conscientious. You really raise the bar for a trustworthy tradesman..I really enjoyed this 👍👍
I’ve been in the building industry for 20 years and have learned so from this channel , You’ve help me progress from what I believe to be a good builder to and exceptional one . Thank you 🙏🏼
This was better then watching a Netflix movie. One of the best on RUclips.
Thanks Shiraz, that's some praise, we'll put that quote on our movie poster!

I really liked the twist at the end 😛
I got my NGC Nebosh and I don't know a fraction of this Gent
Sat all the way through didn’t leave my seat ⭐️👍🔥
I'm doing my bathroom at the minute, I've never done it before but I've learnt so much from your videos. Your a great guy who gives so much to the community of DIYer's.
Awesome work. I always watch your videos. I appreciate the old school pride and quality you show in your work. Thank you for taking the time to help others learn and tackle this kind of work by setting a great example and level of professionalism.
Being a bathroom fitter / plumber for many years, you always tend to doubt yourself now and again and this video it absolutely golden to make you realise that everyone makes mistakes! Yes it's a pain in the arse, but important to remain professional and get things spot on as much as you can.
Great video, I will be binging many more to come.
Thanks ❤️
Thank you James.
I can't believe I've just spent two and a half hours watching someone fit a bathroom! But such is your personality and style of presentation that it just draws you in and before you know it, it's finished! Amazing! I loved every bit of it. And what a fabulous job too.
Never in my life did I expect to watch Gordon Ramsey fitting a bathroom being narrated by Jason Statham....
crazy, i use it as a relaxing backgroudn sound
Roger, as an ex bathroom / kitchen fitter and general plumber / joiner of 12+ years (c. 2000 - 2013 ish), I've watched lots of your videos about heat pumps, lime mortar issues, insulation, heating, windows, etc. etc. - the list goes on and on. I've never seen the REAL you before like in this bathroom refurb video and I can so much relate to your experiences and thought process, I too was soooo fussy and proud of doing a proper job, for my own satisfaction as much as the customers! I think you'll agree with me that having the right tools for the job is probably 50% of the job well done!
Cracking RUclips series buddy - keep up the good work and stay focused on lowering that cholesterol 👍👍💯💯
Thanks Dale.
Absolutely brilliant. I was up at 5am wondering whether to watch Batman The Dark Knight or this... this beat it hands down!
This is nailed-on for an Oscar .
This is an excellently-made, incredibly well-informed and factual video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, and Roger is a true pro. Thanks for all the time and effort it took to produce this. The finished bathroom looks amazing!
I was watching this and the wife walks in and says “is that the Bradley Walsh of plumbing” LOL 😂 great video
Roger, another brilliant video. Thanks for putting the time into the videos and going into so much detail. It's great to see a master tradesman at work
Great to see a tradie that not only knows his stuff but cares about the quality of his work.
Watching this was so relaxing, I just felt all the stress of daily life just melt away! There's something really beautiful about that attention to detail.
He does make it look so easy,
My wife now thinks I could refurbish our bathroom in a couple of days now 😖 Thanks Rodger 🤣🤣
Best instruction video on professional home improvement I ever saw on the internet regarding renovation, tools and supplies..
Thanks Sven!
Ah that's just got rid of my lock down anxiety. Thanks Skill Builder. True craftsmanship ship
Just found him. I have had a few dodgy builders but the worse thing was when we had water leak and on lifting the floor to trace it we were shocked to find our joist gaps were filled with lots of rubble, dirt and dust. What it taught me is 'never' leave any workmen in your house without being there yourself to just keep an eye on them. I also caught a neighbours builder dropping lots of rubble in between the gap between out houses, there was no way 'ever' of retrieving this.
Those kind of people who do things like that are just sharks interested in the money and nothing else. The sad thing is that even the money is never enough for them. I know some of these guys who just drink the lot or shove it up their nose.
As always, most informative and interesting. Never tire of Roger’s easy listening narrative. Thanks.
You are the plumbing Roger Daltrey - highly skilled and experienced. A natural presenter.
I get compared to a lot of people and most of it is not flattering but I will take Roger Daltrey, an all round good bloke.
Great attitude, and sense of humor as well as quality workmanship.
I wish I could like this video 10 times because it's really the best bathroom renovation tutorial out there. So many good tips, explains everything.
Glad it was helpful!
So good to see a builder that's conscientious and likes to do a good job that's looks correct.
I've met and worked with so many that just Bosh the job out and move on.
Throughly enjoyed this epic production, just what I needed in lockdown. Keep up the great work.
Amazing attention to detail. It is SO true that when I stand in the shower, I always look at the tile lines and edges, thus when I revamped my bathroom, I made sure it was perfect.

You blokes are superb, this was such a good watch, the time flew by and it was great to see such attention to detail, i really really enjoyed it, thanks for all the effort you put into it.
Absolutely first class! A master tradesman at work whose attention to detail is sadly lacking in many others these days
Stunning bathroom. And obviously top workmanship.
Great video 👌🏼. Small tip . As the back plates was sunk in the wall for the towel rad instead of using adaptors you could of used 60/100mm rad tails and cut to size
That's a great idea!
Absolutely brilliant. Inspiring work ethic - trying your very best to get everything 'spot on', love it :-) I also love the fact that the mistakes were left in - makes me feel like I don't have to be perfect!
Amazing. Great tips too, hopefully pros will be taking notes.
I like how you think about other tradesmen in advance "lets make everyones life a bit easier..." that speaks miles about your character.
As always, great work, fellas! For the humour alone, it is worth viewing your larger body of film work.
i like when he said i dont like living rubbish under floor boards
that shows me he takes his job motivated with pride and good worker i respect people like that
You're such a pro - 2.5 hours of Roger is such a treat!
Amazing video. Just one thing to point out regarding the extractor fan, the Manrose MF100T is in fact a 4"/100mm in line extractor fan, the size you hate. The 6"/150mm is the MF150T. Both models offer a lower speed, so the customer could still have it slightly quieter if it's currently on the high setting.
Great to see such attention to detail and pride in your work!
Made me want to get back in my van and go and do a few more hours at work , I love being a tradesmen 👍
Brilliant could not stop watching well done.
A great job from start to finish, well done Roger and the team!
I'm a Business development manager for a commercial property company and watching Roger and the team has massively increased my confidence in my role while quoting works.
Watched this instead of a film tonight amd worth every second. Keep up this great greatness 👏 🙌
Great video Roger, next time someone asks me to quote for a wet room/bathroom I will show them this video so they know how much work, thought and expertise goes into the picture they have seen in a magazine.!
Please do
What a great production Roger! Not only educational but highly entertaining with several laugh out load moments. I watched the whole thing with my wife sat next to me, transfixed. As I think somebody else in the comments here said, "better than anything on Netflix!"
Amazing job.i felt i was watching a BBC documentary, Journey of the plumbing.lol Cogratulations.
That was the best 2 hours ive spent in front of a screen in years !!!! Why ? - because its an absolute delight to watch a skilled professional at work doing it "old school" with belt, braces and an extra belt just in case. Hats off to all the plumbers out there with the same mentalityy.
All praise to you Roger, My knees would give up well before now. Good info thanks.
Wicked video mate - worked with a tradesman of your caliber for over 5 years myself and it is pretty positive when you see the same methods be used by yourself. Thank you Sir!
Thanks 👍
An amazing video, well presented and very informative and guess what a smatter of humour i like, as if your being taught by your dad ! BIG thanks
I hope to one day have 10% of your skills and knowledge. Thank you for all your videos and learning sources!
Lovely work Roger. Watched all the individual videos. Time for a binge. Classy work. Well done.
Thanks Gareth. We put this up because we thought a lot of our subscribers would have missed the individual episodes so we did the box set.
You see folks !
Taking your time leads to the best finish.
Well done SB !
Thank you Roger once again. Your advices are more than appreciated and helpful. Also many thanks for the skill builders badge. Love you mate!
Glad to help
I always clean out the floor void, much better for the next person going in there, and if it's your own house that's likely to be you! Really cuts down the mess though if a quick cable or pipe needs to run at a later date.
I’m a bit late to this party but just wanted to say you’re a fantastic teacher.
Don't worry about being late, we hope these videos will be up there for a good while and if they are being watched we are happy. Thank you for the encouragement
Pal that was great . I'm on site 38 years . Loving these vids ..... This Chap knows his stuff really enjoyed watching . THANKS
This my favorite video, really relaxing watching someone else figuring everything out.
Quality vid, there’s too many that just skip through but at least this shows every step. Learned loads, nice one 👍
I literally grabbed a bag of popcorn. thx for the video.
You are a true perfectionist.
*If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well*
You would be an absolute diamond for young apprentices with your accumulated knowledge.
randomly came by this video while leaving youtube running and it totally made me laugh when he pulled out the knipex mini wrench! i too bought it thinking yeah its small might use it, many years on its one of the best tools purchased.
Absolutely excellent, I enjoyed every second! Cheers M
I love this video. I’ve watched three times to try and make me brave enough to install an entire en suite in my house. It’s so comprehensive and by leaving in the odd few mistakes it’s such a good tutorial. Thanks guys, great job. 👌🏼🏴👍🏼
Thanks Rob. It took a lot to film and edit it so it is nice to see it getting some appreciation.

It’s brilliant. Rog has three different hair cuts so it must have been filmed over months!😂
If u are a tradesman , watching this guy is so good
Fantastic , always good to leave a bit a blood on the scene the customer knows they’re getting good value for money lol👏👏👏. From one plumber to another really enjoy your work 🔧👍
Cracking work and video, you've earned my subscription!
I sat and watched this full video last night. The guy has charisma. I know nothing about plumbing but found the video very helpful!
Hi Gareth
I appreciate your staying power. It is a long watch
Thanks Roger, binged it
Only trouble with the laser line is if everything you're marking is in the same plane it's fine. Anything behind that plane will be out depending on how much further back it is if your laser is not spot on 90 degrees to the reference plane/wall. Love the videos great info.
Brilliant video Roger. Inspirational and so informative 👍👍
Brilliant Roger, absolutely brilliant 👏
I'm 2 hours in, really enjoying this knowing that I am never going to do anything like this.
Awesome video Roger. 4 cups of tea later 😂😂😂 great bathroom
Can’t believe I sat for 90 minutes yesterday and a hour today and watched this entire video and enjoyed every minute
I wish I could find a bathroom fitter like Roger
I’m a keen DIYER but don’t think I would attemp something like this
I’ve fitted many a standard bathroom suites and fully tiled walls and floors etc but nothing this complex , this is the next level
Hi Chris
When you break it down it is not as difficult as it seems. The biggest obstacle is the time it takes. If you are trying to do it at weekends that is a long time to be without a bathroom
I`ve watched a good few of your plumbing videos Roger and they`re great. I`m going to do my bathroom using all of your tips (and elements products of course)
keep it up
I love a professional tradesman taking care in his workmanship.
Just finished - perfect OCD build, Roger. Love it! :)
Well done Bartek, it is a long watch for sure. I fell asleep.
What a superb video. So interesting and very informative. Thank you so much.
Awesome stuff. Great insite into the technicalities of bathroom installation.
Great workmanship and pride and attention fto detail.
Its one thing to know and do something its quite another to teach it. This amazing gentleman does both with style and grace. A very pleasant and helpfull video to watch. Many thanks.
Really enjoyed this and learned so much. Thankfully you guys are about on RUclips helping pros and semi-pros all round
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed the video, great sense of humour, and what a great job..
Glad I don't have to pay the bill. 👍
Just a quick comment about the solvent. I used to work in the water transmission industry and for several years in my career, & I was responsible for providing clean drinking water to over 2.5 million people every day. So I had an Expansive system to operate to say the least. And we had multiple systems that operated on 18" - 36" PVC And we used to have to glue joints that you would literally climb inside the pipe! LOL! We would have to have full oxygen environment provided. It looked like deep see diving 100 yrs ago. It still blows my mind that these glue joints of such size can handle vibrations, water hammer, and high pressure the way they do. Chemistry is the best friend of the construction industry! Big shout out to all the chemical engineers out there that provide us with these awesome products that help make us look good & warranty our work comfortably...
And we did it the same way u would a small glue joint.
Hi Philip What a great comment. I hav never really thought about the contribution they make but you are right. We just accept there is a product that will solve our problem.
@@SkillBuilder Think about the products we were working with just 20-30yrs ago? Building with high tech materials is what will help our environment as much as phasing out petrol engines. And when installed correctly under proper building codes then u get a product that is far superior to anything we produced traditionally.
Great video and some really good tips in there thanks!
Wow the attention to detail is fantastic ..👏👏👏
Bit like my daughter's ex-council 1960 maisonette. Original building could withstand the atom bomb but several refits of back boiler plumbing to central heating and various changes of lights and power wiring with all the old fittings and sawdust left by council tradespeople was a real puzzle to analyse, diagnose, and clean up to bring pipes, water supply, boiler, and electrics up to standard with many more sockets. Nice to see plumber thinking about making life easy for tiling - doesn't always happen!
Amazing, thanks for sharing such a detailed vid. I'm currently having my bathroom remodelled by professionals and enjoy following along seeing what they are doing. Maybe one day I'll tackle my other bathroom myself using the knowledge from this!
I do admire the skill involved with producing such a great bathroom.
I'm still a complete beginner, getting stuck in, making mistakes, thoroughly enjoy your videos and I agree with that sentiment of cleaning up even if it's not visible, feels good to be neat.
Great video, doing my own bathroom at minute learnt so much from this 👍👍
Loved every moment of that.. lovely job
The Gordon Ramsey of plumbing
Bloody inspirational and educationla Roger, Thanks, Top Man!
This was so fun to watch mate, really inspired by it. Watched every minute!
Great video Rodger and I had to laugh at your comment on the not my soldering bit, it reminded me of back in the day when I was being trained with some bakers fluid and a lead ingot and my tutor told me to look for the droopy nipple, great job
Well done Roger a very detailed instructional video,, 5 stars!!,,i was chuckling to myself,,i was watching you plastering the ceiling to repair/patch over the hole the electrician left and i thought I saw a hole in it,,,then I realised it was a spot of dust on my laptop screen....
LOL
Great inspiration, cheers roger
WWWWOW!!! So much to think about.....soo many details to keep in mind. Great job! And what i like most you are.....you keep in mind posterity....durability....long lasting....not only aesthetics!!! Wonderful! Goood job!
Years later this video is still very helpful. Toupret is now my go to filler.
Another Amazing job Roger with great demonstrations on how to do it correctly. You should have your own tv show called( Roger Won’t Bodge). Time well spent watching you👍👍
Just seen this,,, loved every minute of it I watch Skill Builder as soon as you put them out ,,,You do a great job lots of good tips,,, best of all is watching a skilled tradesman< doing his job and how easy he makes it look,,, (EXPERIANCE) Well done Guys Best on you tube
