I just love your sister ,she has such a great since of humor ❣️🌹
It's great for those who can not afford to pay full price for a handmade item to be able to purchase a great gift from a thrift store. It wonderful how people put the time and effort into making them for donations
If was there I would buy all those and sent them for cancer children at St Jude
But I live inPuertoRico
Very true
😮nice finds
I enjoy seeing you and your sister getting to hang out, that's just so cool.
I always enjoy when you and Laurie are together. It is so wonderful to see the great relationship you have and how much you can make each other laugh. I chuckled too.
I definitely would’ve bought about four or five of those blankets. I love your sister. She is a lot of fun and adorable.
I really like the shaw Lori said she was going to buy.
I wish I could find some of those things at my thrift shops. Enjoyed this video so much.
I just always wonder how they end up in thrift stores. But I also like the fact that they get new lives.
Thank you. I can't get out much and miss the second hand store 😊
I love seeing the pretties you and your sis find…never see anything so nice at my thrift stores. So enjoy seeing you two together.
The corn covers are a cozy for your corn so it doesn’t get cold waiting for you to eat it!🥰
I always love watching you with your Sister, you both remind me of times with my sister, lots of fun and laughter!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Very beautiful work in these items
Oh my goodness! So many beautiful pieces at bargain basement prices. Not that I need anything, lol! But people have put many hours into items that are being sold for $3-$4! Wonderful for those who need warm items and can't afford a lot. Thanks for always taking us along on your thrift store outtings!
The corn is covers for pot handles. Theres no way i have any thrift stores in jacksonville that has beautiful crocheted blankets...and those prices are awesome. If you happen to find one, its old and worn. I'd buy all of those, and omg the work that goes into these beautiful blankets and the granny square..wow...all those ends to weave!!! Im jealous, wish we had a store like that❤😮
All blankets are so pretty
I think those ear-of-corn items were for cast iron pot handle I THINK that’s what I would use them for
The corn cob thingies might be to use to get bowls/plates out of the microwave. Keeps you from burning your fingers and are a lot less clumsy than full size potholders. I have some (but they don't look like corn cobs!
Hi ladies thank you for sharing your thrift store findings it was fun to watch I don't get out much anymore so I enjoy watching you ladies a lot have a wonderful rest of your day , please tell your mom she's in my thoughts and prayers and she's greatly missed.
Great to see you gals again. 😊 thanks for taking us along to the thrift store. Have a wonderful weekend 🤗
What a great thrift shop you have there, I would have so much fun getting gifts at those prices so thanks Glenda and Laurie ❣️
Corn : crochet needle case.
Thank you both for sharing your trip to the thrift store. You have such fun together 🥰❤
Wow- only $3 and $4 for those beautiful blankets?? I gotta come shopping near you!! 😳🤔🤩🤗💖
So neat to see what they had today. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy these video's.
Hi Tracy and Laurie. Beatiful afghans. Love seeing you both.
Glenda, I love your thrift store...they have Soo much crochet items🧶
Hi Glenda Always so nice to see you and your sister Thanks for sharing your trip to the thrift store 😊😊
I love seeing all the projects in the thrift stores. I am making a blanket to donate in the future.
Glenda some of those blankets you were calling a shawl could also be a lapghan...whatever they are they are all pretty and a great price.
All the blankets are in great condition. Well, except for dirty spots. With Laurie on this one!
Love ripples so nice
None of the thrift stores in my area have anything close to your amount. Beautiful projects and I appreciate the time and money spent...❤
Hi Glenda. The little pink rectangle square with fringe (+ the little one Sis threw on her head) are a set of bath mat & rug. It was fun seeing all these makes. Great time !
I wish some thrift stores near me had those crocheted blankets! They are beautiful!
I wish I had a thrift store like yours near me! I would have bought most of those afghans and donated them to Project Linus! Wow!
Wow! Great finds, but it makes me sick that some people don't appreciate all the time and talent that went into making those projects of love.
Hi Glenda and Lori. I just came from shopping our thrift stores. Came across an afghan with blanket yarn 3 bucks. I took it all apart and am making some housecoats for for granddaughter and her friends 18 in American girl dolls.
Lots of fun! Great finds and buys. Be Well
I love this thrift store videos with your sister!
50¢ yarn?😲 Yes I would've purchased them.
Wow your patterns so nice and precise loads of love from India
These blankets are inexpensive. But I look at it as a good thing. People that don’t crochet can still have a great item at a great price. I donate 90% of my afghans. I enjoy making them and hope it provides someone comfort.
My mom is a thrift store crochet collector.
Before I had 7 kids, I used to make blankets and donate to 2nd hand stores. But now my kids are 1-9 and they love their blankets. So I stay busy making them. No store bought blankets here 😅
My mom probably has 5 blankets I remember from my childhood that belonged to my grandma. The other 300 crochet blankets she buys and puts them on her chairs or over the backs of sofas, she has one she lays across the foot of her bed for her dogs, one in the room for her cats, then she has 1 blanket I made her. She hung that one on the wall because it was filet crochet and its pretty but not actually very warm 😂
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip to yhe thrift store! Could you do a video on repairing a crochet blanket? My niece's dog chewed a hole in the middle and I have been struggling to figure out where to start!
Many thanks to your mom for getting me hooked on diamond painting.hope she's doing well❤❤❤
You and your sister are so much fun to watch. I love all the ideas that others have on crochet and knit. The ears of corn are they not slippers for your feet? Just another fun video, thanks.♥️
That's a crib blanket 😊
I have Phentex yarn. The yarn I have came from Canada and it is used for crochet house slippers. It's more of a nylon base and cannot be put in the dryer. That Phentex yarn looks more like acrylic.
I liked the shawl your Sister said she was going to buy Also the Granny Square throw and the knitted blanket
Is a thrift store like our UK charity shops I wonder...
I think UK charity shops and USA thrift shops are the same; looking at the items they sell 👍🥰
katherinesgrannysquares they’re similar except I think your charity shops in the UK donate to specific charities but I’ve yet to figure out what the ones here do with the funds.
Yes we have charity shops that function as fundraisers for their particular charity In fact, there are lots here and they do quite well I am just about to sort some clothes etc out for our chosen charity this afternoon as it happens I dont have much luck finding any crochet items in charity shops though
What awesome treasures for someone! 😇 The rectangle items might be crib blankets.
Beautiful…thanks for sharing 😊🧶
The corn on the cob are pencil cases with no zippers sewn in. Lol I found someone's you tube video after a Google search.🙂
'DIY maycraft' has a similar video.
That was fun. I that my thrift stores sell the crochet/knit items fast. I never find any of them. Maybe I can check the Peddlers Mall.
This absolutely breaks my heart! I have a crochet business and I know how much money the yarn alone costs, not to mention the time it takes to make. How awful that people give these away as basic "trash". People just don't appreciate what it takes to make these. 😭💔
I'm wondering if those corn thingies are cozies to keep freshly steamed or boiled corn warm 🤔🤷♀️
You are from PA??? WOW! So am I!
The corn thing is a pod to put your fake corn on a cob into. Thanks, Glenda and Laurie
I think also when someone passes, things get donated.
Could that pink and purple be a doll blanket?
I understand the economics and it breaks my heart that you guys have to sell these so cheap knowing how many labour hours went in.
Pretty mile a minute blanket a lot of work
The crocheted corn are little teeeeny slippers lol.
What about the one with the dark green ripple hanging up?
I never find these kind of bargains in New York City thrift stores 😥
You don't show the dark green and cream ripple?
To me the corn pair looked like modern slippers, not much top.🎉 😊
If anyone had extra money you could buy them and donate them to a NICU
Thrifts Stores in Ontario, Canada, should see this video and learn about prices. Here they want to make easy money with the donations. Greedy!
