Nickel not so much but the 22 inch penny isn't "easy" to ride, props to anyone who can do it. Most people can't ride a skateboard period, just enjoy it idk why the community can be so toxic about the gatekeeping sometimes, I get the "pain is our bond mentality" but I can vibe with someone on a longboard the same as I can vibe with someone trying to tre the 5. It should be all love.
Bend your knees!! It reduces injury! Especially on a smaller board like your penny nickle, Its very very important! Please practice bending those knees!
I prefer regular boards usually but don’t sleep on penny boards, nice to cruise with and carry around in spaces you can’t skate. I just wish they came with some type of grip tape
Getting older is so nice. I agreed with you for a second. But then I realized I’m a grown man and can take on orbital sander and get rid of the designs on the top of the penny board and then grip it 😂everything I need is down in my garage 😂🔥💪

Dude I worked with brought one to Holland for a week of training on his back pack. He was a "trick" guy with a bigger board but used one of these to travel. Got to the pubs way faster than us getting a taxi on one of these and looked cool as hell cruising, all I'm saying. Got my young sons one each and they love them.
A penny board is what you can see in the video and is often made of plastic and is not really meant for tricks mainly just cruising around and it’s only the tail that points slightly up however a “normal skateboard” will be made out of wood and have grip tape instead of the plastic engraving and is meant primarily for tricks and is not as effective for cruising btw some vintage skateboards have only one end pointed up like this and normal ones are bigger hope this helped :)

I learnt to ride on a penny board and it was great but I’m starting to want to learn tricks and have a bit of a bigger space so I’m getting a skateboard soon. I would say that penny boards are better for beginners since they are a bit smaller and smoother but it’s all preference :)
Just put softer wheels on a normal skateboard. Wheels come in different density's for different things. Harder wheels are for skate parks and skids, soft wheels are for rugged and bumpy places, like literally any UK road. You can also get ones that are in the middle that blends a bit from both. They all have their own feel. So experiment!

@@skibinskibuilt I mean, I do, but theres definate differences between a longboard and a penny, Pennies are so light, even nickles are awesome to ride, and feel awesome! But not stable high speed, I would recommend getting a longboard! Much more versatile!
