    Great job detailing your wireless cameras and systems.. can wireless cameras witj an nvr box be used as a dvr like without the internet? Can you adapt wireless cameras to a dvr? What are some specs for wireless cameras and some options.. can you use the tx/rx wireless camera adaptors with a dvr? An nvr without internet? Does an nvr even work without internet? Do nvr’s just not have an internal hdd? Can you just use an nvr for the digital signal and patch it into a dvr for cctv internal recording??

    Is it standard to say 720p=30fps? Is that always the case with DVR’s? If so then I’m opting for 720p

    2 Important questions! Will the NVR still record if the power is completely out on the property? And secondly, will the NVR still record if internet has been turned off?

      With a dvr no, with nvr yes if you have a UPS , nvr records to a local hard drive not the internet.

      you can run optic fiber with a media converter at each end this would be costly tho you can also get power extenders and run that at the NVR end anyway good luck if you haven't already done it by now.

      An NVR is usually connected to a local switch. "IP" in IP camera doesn't mean it has to be connected to the internet.

    Question: I know I can Unplug my DVR system from the internet. This way I can Decide to unplug my WIFI and no longer see my cameras from the phone/computer software etc.
    I would only see it from my television which is connected.
    My question is can I do the same thing with a NVR ? Because I don't want BIG BROTHER hacking my NVR System and viewing MY Cameras.

    • @jameslmorehead
      @jameslmorehead 5 лет назад

      You can setup an NVR isolated from the internet. Depending on your NVR, you may need a router with built in DHCP, but some NVRs include this functionality.

    So why didn't you cover the difference between choosing a DVR and NVR when using wireless cameras .....or did I miss it
    I mean, I'm new at this whole security camera thing and our only local security business wanted NOTHING to do with me asking questions unless I was paying them to install a security system whereby they were then paid a monthly fee for monitoring it!!!
    and OH MY, don't bother going to wally world....the workers back in the electronic department are TOTAL DIP CHITS anymore on nearly every product they sell.... all they do is walk me over to the product, pull the box off of the shelf, and then read the back of it WHICH I COULD HAVE DONE THAT

    • @revo2maxx
      @revo2maxx 5 лет назад

      Luke I am sure by now seeing it has been over a year or a year anyway.... Lorex is a Company spawn off Flir and Flir is a OEM company off the Dahua Brand. So while it might work with other OEM Branded systems it may not. I have heard that some have added chips that make it so they only work with their own systems.... Also another thing While Dahua does mostly CVI there are other systems out there in the 1080P market like CVI, AHD, and TVI. So the important part is finding the DVR that works with your Camera type.. So then there are other Dahua OEM companies that may offer a 4 in 1 system with Switches on the cameras to make sure you using the right camera for your system. or 5 in 1 works kind of same way... What I can tell you though I do have a TVI DVR that says it will only work with TVI and CVBS analog cameras. It does work with my CVI cameras from a Dahua OEM company however they are in B/W only... So that is something you could run into also if not working with Same type company.. So I would say to be sure it works Flir or Lorex is what you want to use your cameras on to be safe. I personally wouldn't use them. Amcrest all the way for Dahua OEM USA supported system. 1080P to 4K over BNC and same in IP... For me BNC systems all the way... Nothing more secure then only having 1 IP address to secure... IP cameras to many IP's to worry about....
