(Update) 3 years ago I saw your video and the next day on January 03, 2020 at 2:08 am I order my Ender 3 Pro. I Still have it and it still works, atm I'm doing some big upgrades. But just wanted to say thank you.
I'm so glad that it work out good for you my friend and thank you so much for your comment! It means a world to me. Wish you all the best! Best regards Nexi
I just bought a regular Ender 3 for all these reasons, not seeing a $100 in difference with the pro. I can now take the $100 i saved and buy upgrades that will out perform a ender 3 pro for less money, great video
still amazed at the excellent print quality from what some would consider a "entry level printer" Nice and informative video, also appreciate the upgrade recommendations
My favorite Ender 3 upgrade is definitely the Titan Aero extruder. Yes it was insane to retrofit onto the X axis carriage plate but worth every minute of it. Now I dont have to deal with boden tube nonsense. It's almost like having a Prusa MK3. And with the 3:1 gear ratio it NEVER slips on the filament. 100% extrusion, no matter what. Other than that, the stepper motor dampers and my linear rail on the Y axis are the best things I've installed.
Excellent reviews and I just subscribed. Am contemplating to purchase this Creality Ender to start my 3D printing experience and your videos helped me to decide. Thank you and keep up the good work!
I went through 2 Pros with dents in the y axis bar. Returned them both & got the regular. Outside of their sketchy qc on things, the printer works amazing.
A lot of these differences just come from the new revision of the Ender 3. My standard Ender 3 has a lot of features like the pro (big caps at the end of the extrusions, press-fitted pulleys, motion in menue etc) but still the cheaper PSU and the thinner extrusion for the y-axis
Thank you for this video, I have been very interested in 3D printing but unsure about which printer to go with, narrowing down to the Ender line. This video was concise, short, and packed with useful info. I appreciate your time and you've gained another subscriber
Thank You so much I'm just starting out and trying to figure out what the best printer would be for me. Your reviews are great to the point and have help me so much. Thank You again.
what are the settings you are using for those prints? they look great!! what pla are you using? your videos are very well structured and informative. thank you for doing this
5:50 just wanted to quickly address that, as I faced this problem on my delta development to the point where I wanted to make my own pulleys. They have done that to ensure best concentricity for pulley, and that can only be done by press fitting it. So it's a trade off basically, whether you want best and most accurate or you want removable, 99% of which on a market are really bad.
The regular Ender 3 which I received a few weeks ago has some of the improvements. It has the limiter for the Z axis switch and the upgraded firmware with the motion settings. It also has a removable print surface, which in my opinion is better than the magnetic one from the Pro.
yeah, I mean what is the point of that magnetic surface on a HEATED bed. If they really wanted to upgrade they could have added auto level sensor and maybe change the bowden extruder to a direct one.
- Standard comes now with press fit pulleys. Can't use dampeners. - Standard now has Y bearing held on both sides (not just on one side) - Standard has same big endcaps as pro versions - Standard also has glue on pcb - Standard also has this new style z endstop holder
ThatGuyFrosty He must be talking about Ultimaker 3 or Prusa i3 which cost way more then 200USD and they have the same or smaller Build volume. And for the record I disagree with the guy. Ender 3 is producing amazing prints without any mods and for less then 200usd and gives opportunity to everybody to step into 3D printer world.
i recently purchased an ender 3 pro, and i have to say, i'll sell my cr10, because the ender 3 pro is a lot more advanced in the small details. just to mention a few things, my e3pro arrived with a silicone cap already installed to the hotend, which is nice. also i noticed that the extruder motor is moved further back(compared to the cr10), so the filament now does not rub against the Z rod. the rest of the upgrades are discussed in the video. oh, and one more thing. if you print larger things, with sharp edges, and corners, it is possible that the magnetic bed will be raised, as the magnets are not strong enough, and warping can lift it up.
Thank you very much, you helped me a lot in choosing the type to buy♥️ The review of the two devices and the difference between them was wonderful, brief and informative. Thank you again😊
And thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it and I'm happy that my video helped you and that you found it useful. I wish you great day.
Following you since you started with anet a8,nice to see the progress in every aspect of the videos, and as always a lot of useful information. Keep it on!!and thank you for the help!
Pulleys are not a problem since u put the pulley in a vise and get a M4 bolt and just punch the middle out of it. Then put on the ender 3 pro teeth. I did so aswell. Magnetic bed can just be ordered. And the rest is just for fancyness. So short. Just buy the regular
Nexi, great video (I have watched a few of yours as I have been interested in getting into my first 3D printer). Currently to buy direct from Creality it’s $194 vs $229 for ended 3 vs ended 3 pro. At that price difference is it a no brainer to go with the pro? Do you still think the only downside to the pro is the inability to dampen the stepper motors? Thanks, Carlos
Yes,go with the PRO. Well let me tell you somebody post in comments that there is small tool that let you to draw out or adjust press pulleys and install dampers on PRO version as well which is awesome.
I so wish more presenters were as clear an direct as this fellow!! Textbook perfect and good information without tossing in a bunch of his own opinions. Here's the facts, you make up your own mind. Hope you continue to make more of these types of videos!

where did you purchase yours from? Im looking to buy
So is the pro version not really worth it any more? It’s currently only $35 more when purchasing directly through Creality. $194 vs $229
