Christian such a hero. Renowned in the uk by the right people and we appreciate him so much... thank you for having him on he's an incredible person.
He’s one of the best men I’ve ever known
Christian I’m so glad you are settled in a country that appreciate what you did. I’m ex British army and I’m totally disgusted how the politicians and foreign office have treated you. But always remember the right common people are behind you and so proud of you. Again it’s great to see how our greatest allies citizens have thanked you. God Bless You Mate and you are Who Dares Wins
Admired by the British public. Supported by his peers in the regiment. Thanked in person by the American president at the time. Thanked for saving Americans. Befriended by his son’s. Ignored by our government and hushed up.
So there goes another hero leaving the UK.
He’s such a humble down to earth guy. Almost self deprecating as us Northern Brits are. Bless people like him. He deserves a big hug. He deserved a royal commendation for his actions in Nairobi. If you saw him in the street, stereotypically, you wouldn’t necessarily think he was this amazing, hard as nails SAS soldier! You assume they are all 7ft tall and built like body builders.
The epitome of a UKSF operator. understated and humble but oozing professional menace. Top fella
Hero. So sorry you left us. You will be sorely missed by those of us that treasure you and your service.
He's not dead....
We need more men who are the true heroes in their own stories clothed in humility as is Mr. Craighead. May God bless your endeavors! Welcome to America!❤
Couldn’t agree more.
Saw this dude at my local watering hole a couple of weeks ago. Too much cool for such a small town.
So cool! He’s the best.
Genuine, certified humble all time badass. Thank you "Christian" for being in this world
He’s literally one in a million
Brilliant Mr Craighead an incredible human. We need more people in this world like him!
I love how after he gets introduced he just says quietly..."hey". Lol. Also he is like Dorian Gray. He never ages. Or loses his looks either.
As a former rugby player (I played union but we also played league for shits & giggles), I understand completely what Christian means when he said he's there "for the violence." I miss playing more than words! I miss the fun of Saturdays and I miss being around the clubmates. Aches and pains aplenty but if you don't have them, you didn't play. Awesome episode!
PS: Cricket is also great to watch if you're trying to unwind; best when a few beers deep.
This was fantastic. He’s an amazing dude and clearly a very humble one too.
Couldn't agree more!
We love what you’re doing. Thank you for being there in the trenches brother
I will never stop fighting for us all.
English brekky rocks, baked beans on toast is the nuts also! Pickled onions and Pickled eggs are awsome.
Great interview with Craig - top bloke
One of the best ever.
First view on this channel after watching Zack on the UnsubscribePodcast. Earned my subscription.
Well done king.
Chuffed that this podcast is growing 10X every upload keep going Zach
I will never stop and thank you for being here
Such a laid-back cool dude
Chris Hunt’s work is awesome. Great podcast!
He’s a real artist.
Flow state. Mastery of craft in motion.
Absolutely amazing. Great interview
Thank you. Chris made it easy to talk.
Zach, the biggest thing about the royal family is the fact that they own , in its entirety , ALL of old London. All the businesses pay rent to the royal family. Mind blowing.
No, they don't.
They don't own " the city of London" and have to ask permission to enter it.
Beans on toast is immense. Lived off it.
I need to try it.
I subscribed but you're friends with Christian Craighead. You already made it in life mate.
Chris, You forgot eggs in the English Breakfast Brother, cumon now lol. I agree with your sentiments regarding the lack of patriotism here in the UK, IMO we're second rate citizens in our own country now. I live in Cornwall and I happy to say I'm proud to be Cornish, not so much proud to be British unfortunately. Thank you for your service, much love and respect to you. Side Note: It's okay to not be okay!, Chris
Please give Christian a break on remembering the components of an English brekkie, he is Texan now! He has to learn all about chorizo, huevos rancheros, grits, brisket, Waffle House, IHOP, oatmeal, cream of wheat, biscuits and gravy (no, not cookies!). 😂
Edit: I forgot to add Cracker Barrel! Hopefully Christian has that new truck and has driven his mates to Cracker Barrel for a good American breakfast.
@@phillipschmidtke2001 haha 🤣😂 of course! That’s a lot to take in 🤦🏻♂️😂
On a serious note, I’ve been following what is happening in the UK recently and it really makes me sad what you all have had to endure, I hope things take a turn for the better.
We are starting to have similar problems here, where there are examples of criminals being treated better than law abiding and tax paying citizens.
@@phillipschmidtke2001 thank you brother, yes things are not what they used to be. Our governments priorities are messed up. I hope things figure out for you guys over there too. Troubled times for sure unfortunately 😞
The whole " everyone suffers " struck that honesty nerve. Sometimes i think i just have myself a pity party.
Yasss!!!! My boy 🏴☠️🔥
Let’s go!!!!
@@VeteranWithASign LFG! 🎙️🏴☠️🔥
Incredible.
It was an honor
So cool. I mean I just cherish the folks that actually execute and executed the podcast thing.
My time with the mic is coming but still.
It takes no amount of money to be kind.

I agree with him on the military giving purpose. As an ex-Slimer who was attached to Chris Craighead's lot (although much more time with the Hamworthy lot) I did love my time serving HM the Queen. But I was lucky in moving to a job that was pretty damn interesting so my transition was easier.
I do worry now that we have no top cover from the Ruperts now and so I couldn't in all honesty recommend it to my son - and I'm 7th Generation military. Our society does not value honour, duty and patriotism and our political class thinks we are rubes for joining.
We need to value service of any kind more.
@@VeteranWithASign Agreed, but why serve a degenerate society? And I hate saying this because I am 7th Generation (and possibly more) British Army. And that's not just a critique of Labour over here and the Democrats and "Stairmaster Joe" your side of the Pond. There are also too many on the Right in both our countries who are heading down the "Charles Lindbergh Republican" isolationist route and whose only plan is to grab the semi-autos and shout "Wolverines" when the dictators finally get round to you. As the great Ronald Reagan said - our two great nations are supposed to be shining cities on a hill. You can secure your borders, defeat the woke mental illness of the Pol Pot year zero acolytes on the left, build a strong economy AND promote liberty for all - baring those guys with the donkey - there are some people you just can't reach.
Black pudding is amazing with English mustard.....And beans on toast ? Forget about it! Get some really nice bread and loads of butter 🤩
Careful mate, we went to war over the falklands and no one was really that bothered over that. You besmirch beans on toast though and you'll have the whole nation up in arms. 😂
Also, the only acceptable condiment for black pudding is HP sauce. Just so you know. 😅👍
@mungo75 what are you talking about besmirch beans on toast? Is that aimed at me, LOL! And I live the North West, where the best black pudding comes from ......Lancashire! So, English mustard only
I need to try it I guess.
@@VeteranWithASign You do! It tastes better than it sounds......
10 years to the time, WOW!
Crazy right
One of the best & bravest humans on planet 🌎.
Thank you sir for all that you do and did. 🫡🇬🇧
He is one the best
I'm British, ex army, and immensely proud of my country's history - but note that, its history. Currently the UK is in a suicidal death-spiral, it is allowing people (many of whom aren't even British) who have no good will for it to take over its society and institutions. Some of it is 'woke' rubbish - courtesy of the US - but most is down to the people's will being entirely ignored by politicians since the late 1960s. If there isn't radical change very soon, the UK will cease to be recognisable in any way and the whole country will go the way of London and cease to even to be British... hate to write this, really, really hate to, but it is the plain truth. People are getting really p!ssed off now, so change may come - if it doesn't I'll not rest until my children are settled in the US, Canada or Australia - and I write that with a lump in my throat.
As a former Londoner born into one of those once typical large Irish family's ( 8 kids) that's exactly the impression I have.,The last time I was there was in 2011 ( for nearly 8 weeks) my mom was in Hosp& I was visiting her every day&to see the lack of care & interest given to some of these most vulnerable people, was so irritating to deal with, especially as I work in this field in the US
( I've been living here for nearly 24 yrs) and I don't do my job like them..( I specialize working with the disabled,& I take care of X Army Paraplegic for 15 yrs F/T and I also work P/T time with 2 Quadriplegics)
So this is the real world& it cracks me up listening to UK Radio talking about the US ( mostly BS based on a very limited experience and stereotypes) And those that hate this country ( many of the type u mentioned)
Anyway Kris is presently the flavour of the month (And understanably so he earned his rep the tough way) ,
but he needs to keep his guard up,here is like anywhere & u have plenty of 'Fair Weather friends' ( The size of the country creates a very transient population,so it's not so easy to maintain genuine relationships, u can have plenty of Acquaintances) Anyway enough of my BS,take care&good luck!👍
The British Government had the opportunity to use Christians bravery as an example of the best of Britain.
Guided by a deep sense of morality, serene while surrounded by chaos. That the British will stand up to evil wherever it appears.
Instead they tried to cover it up, simply because he didn’t follow the bureaucratic rules.
And then they fined him.
It’s the worst.
As a 17y listing to this, that section between 30:48 and 32:56 was something i really needed to hear.
Things have been flipping upside down and ive been losing the drive to the things i need too. Been holding on for a future im working towards.
Thank you.
God doesn’t pick perfect people,he picks people perfect for the job………I have a feeling we could be seeing a lot more of mr craighead……many are called few are chosen…..ask Chris about 1000 year deltas🤔😎🐸🙏🏻🍿🍿🍿🍿
You will be see a lot of him
If your speaking to Christian tell him that love your "neighbours" is the "west Highland way" and that god has a really ironic sense of humour...
Such a chad, and I usually dont like that term lol. But I can see what you guys mean about grandparents... My dads father passed before I was born, have his ww2 dogtag. Moms dad passed when I was younger, I dont really remember it that well. Falling asleep on a car ride to the hospital or something.
Both grandmas were close and their deaths hit me hard, I already had issues before then but damn. Was typing this whole thing up but I deleted it, didnt feel right to post here. But depression was a huge part of my life from the first death and has intertwined with my many other issues since then.
Christian may have been out of the UK for a bit too long as many people do go to pubs still. Yes, there are plenty that have had to close but there are also lots that are thriving now. Every time I go to the pub these days they're heaving.
He just moved like a month ago
@@VeteranWithASign interesting. Well, he must've not been going down the pub very much then (cue being told he lived in a pub, lol, but I'm going to make the assumption anyway!). I'm in the pubs most days, I enjoy many different pubs and the good ones are definitely not doing too badly at all. It's a bit of a myth that people don't want to go to the pub anymore, although it is a talking point over here mainly because of the struggles of lockdowns. But just because it's a talking point, it doesn't mean it's accurate. People point to how many fewer pubs there are, but the fact is that instead of business being unevenly distributed between 3 pubs all next door to each other, 1 pub now gets all the business once the other 2 close down. That doesn't mean less business overall though - if you go to the pub a little bit late these days you won't even find yourself a seat. Particularly in the cities - Pubs often have so many customers they're all out on the pavement, particularly when people finish work or on the weekends. I think cinemas are in a worse state than pubs, but nobody talks about them. How they stay profitable I've no idea, they're always empty!
What does the word 'silent' mean in 'silent professional' ?
He’s retired.
I'm still interested in the Nairobi story. 😅 But it's now more because they are being so secretive about it. What are they trying to hide? Why can't Christian talk about what he did? 🥺
1:32:19 nearly had to pull over. Unreal.
I know
I am a Canadian and we don't qualify for the green card lottery. I would love to move to the US.
Sneak in. Apparently now’s the time.
@@VeteranWithASign I don't want to my first act in a country to be an illegal one. I just want a chance to come the legal way.
Anyone know who he's thinking about when he talks about these military frauds around the 1hr 10 mins Mark? Any guesses?
Ant Middleton and Jason Fox would be my guess…probably wrong.
Sadly there are so many to choose from
@@ScrubbersGhost Jason Fox does not really brag about military career
Maybe David Goggins, I was thinking
Yeah that's who I was thinking. I think what Goggins represents definitely has a place in society though
Only so many times you can spin the same dit
What?
Yeah we dont like American Football, too slow and whats with the ads every ten mins or so in a televised game ??., we would rather watch Rugby. Football ( Soccer ) im right there with Chris , watching a bunch of over paid dandy boys run round and throwing themselves on the floor because they tripped over an invisible turtle on the pitch just doesnt do it for me.
Hes right about the UK too , its run by corrupt politicians who are milking the tax payers and their doing it blatantly , the populace can see this and its angering us more and more day by day.
The thing about us is that we put up with it for so long , we turn a blind eye ,, and then something breaks the Camels back and then we come together , we become focused and its not a focus you want on you.
Look at our history ,, we have a bloody history and we will turn on our politicians if they are not careful. All the fancy houses the live in wont stop the people from breaking down the door.
You listened to Don J? I'm out. You could have put your talents to better causes. like training people in the Ukrain
