I absolutely love how the dress turned out!! It’s literally stunning!! I love the green color!! I can’t wait to see it on the ice!! Mathieu’s dresses are so beautiful I really love the snake one he made for Madison chock! 🫶
I cannot explain how excited i am about this video! The dress is beautiful. I am an adult figure skater and have been experimenting with sewing my own/my friends dresses. This video is perfect timing❤
Oh my god that's awesome! Sewing is honestly way harder than it looks. I tried before but turning something from 2-D to a 3-D piece of clothing is truly a challenge I'm still trying to wrap my brain around!
I started skating when I was 7 and stopped at 10. Because I stopped not by my own volition, I kinda just blocked figure skating from my life. So now I'm starting back again, just bought my skates, and I'm starting my adult journey. This video makes me excited to learn and to actually compete with a custom dress. Plus, I live in Montreal, so I can't wait to get to a level where I feel comfortable going to Matthieu.
i just started my adult figure skating journey at 33yrs old, but ive been a seamstress my entire life. in two months ive made 3 figure dresses lol. i need to do less sewing and more skating.
This was such a cool idea for a video! Awesome to see the whole process and the visit to the studio. I stalk Mathiieu's Instagrams all the time too haha and have played around with the Iconic designs a few times. I always stone my own dresses, and often find myself wanting a new dress basically for the (very expensive) art project lol!
i got my dress too! it's so pretty its red and white, has rhinestones on it and fits me perfectly. cant wait for my comp, and ur dress is so pretty aswell!
GIRL!!! This is so awesome! (Also sus timing, I’m an adult beginner and literally today my coach brought up our spring show and I was like ! I need a dress! (One day I will be good enough for Mathieu, but not yet, haha😅☺️) but this is so inspiring ^-^) The final dress is STUNINGGGG And getting to see the behind the scenes was so awesome, it’s really amazing work that everyone does!
It may be a Korean designer named Ahn Gyu Mi! I believe she's made a couple of Yuna's dresses, not sure about the blue one specifically but she makes a lot of the dresses for the Korean Female skaters! If anyone else knows for sure, please do comment below!
How much it costs? I have learned fashion design before and I can tell from the dress you worn that its not that flattering around your waist, maybe due to the material they used and the big crystals looks cheap and Swarovski crystal should look much better. Anyway as long as you are happy, then its worth it 😊.
