Kudos to Darren Rust, their producer, for putting all the beautiful harmonies together.

Lee sounds great for 75! This is beautiful. I loved adding the Air Force Singing Sergeants…it was so good and yes, Darren Rust (Home Free’s producer) put it all together. Home Free also sings this at Mt. Rushmore. They have some great patriotic songs. My Country Tis of Thee, Land of the Free (Tim Foust, the bass, wrote it), and my favorite is Brothers in Arms. There’s incredible bass in it. You really need headphones though. Loved your reaction boys! 😀💙

You were absolutely right about Home Free guys taking the middle ground & giving Lee Greenwood & the Singing Sergeants the spotlight! They do it with all their guests! Darren Rust gave Lee the chance to sing this the way HE wanted to instead of having to sing it the way he's always had to & he did an amazing job & never sounded so good because his heart & soul were in it! This is the most beautiful version ever! Also, Adam did the sound of a flyover at the end. He's incredible! They all are & are the only a cappella group that I'll even listen to now!😊

Home Free didnt give Lee the spotlight. He released it in 1984. When he decided tp update it HE asked both the The US Air Force Band and Home Free to join HIM. Not the other way around.
Oh and the castle in Nashville is his own home.

Lee Greenwood was pleased to do this version because he added so adlibs and small changes that be always wanted to do. That was a very good pickup about Home Free’s voices supporting the other singers. You gentlemen have a great night

They definitely give the right people the spot light. Home Free actually sang this song when they first started out, and did a video at Mount Rushmore. Actually it was the Air Force Singing Sargents. They have sung with Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys and Jeffrey East. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

Another great reaction, guys! And that's part of why we love Home Free so much... they're not too insecure to let their collaborators shine (whether they are big names or newcomers). These guys are just really nice, down-to-earth gentlemen.

fabulous. Another legend teaming up with Home Free and having the service men and women in this is brilliant. I love Adam's percussion and the jet flyover he does at the end - wow!

I agree. I love that they allow others to shine when they collaborate with another artist. They didn't let their egos get in the way of the music.
