People just don't understand what it is like to struggle from a mental health problem/s. It's an inner battle wherein you would think that you're alone. Other people around you can only say so much.
So many rude comments! For those that don’t know about this disorder sucks! It’s the hardest emotions to deal with day by day!!! Keep doing a good job Mariah Carey! ❤️
Fabeee Olmos Yeah bullshit Mariah is irrelevant these days I don't buy her bipolar bullshit - 17 yrs without meds wow how did she get this shit by catching like the fuckin flu or a cold I've got diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder 14 months back very serious & was immediately put on tegretol 200mg I can't miss a single dose if I do I can easily loose control & flip out she's an attention seeking drama queen wanting public sympathy with a new album out soon what better way 2 promote it given the fact 2014's release was absolute fuckin garbage capecch 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

As a sufferer myself. I'm very pleased someone of her stature has come out. Such a sad world that people have to hide this. The ones who ditch out judgment. Stigma and hate are the ones with the problems. Certainly not me or her.
Brian Dash I'm a 47 year old woman who has bipolar illness also, and I'm so glad she's doing this, takes a LOT of courage!!!! So many judgemental people out there who don't know what they are saying, isn't it supposed to be a bible verse, judge not unless ye be judged, something like that! Mariah has always had a lot of class, way more than a lot of other singers and bands out there and she always will!!!
Brian Dash We do have to learn to take accountability for our behaviors still; this diagnosis isn’t an instant justification as that mentality contributes to the stigma. Often times we can be horrible, horrible people to deal with; I’ve caused drama where it wasn’t necessary, sometimes for my own enjoyment. I’ve been petty, even nasty and I’ve become aggressively confrontational, even physical over unfounded perceptions about people having it out for me. We need to be willing to meet halfway; sure it would do the public some good to research our illness but we absolutely do need to check ourselves whenever we feel that inner diva or rage-beast about to come out
Every time I feel down and lonely because I have to deal with this illness, I searched for celebrities and successful people who have bipolar and that cheers me up. It gives me hope
Mental health is a terrible problem that doesn't get as much attention as it needs. Psychology and psychiatry are still pretty much just trial-and-error, I hope we can do better.
No wonder she always looks sad in her eyes. And no wonder she's such a workaholic. She's so strong to be able to open up and help break down the stigma. God bless her and those who suffers the same. #Dontletitdefineyou #ProudofMariah

Don't think this will come as a great surprise to many but it's brave nonetheless. I love it what a inspirational story I keep that in mind being bipolar diagnosed full blown mania since age 14 now 36 an singer growing up with family the worlds youngest accapelol gospel worlds wide an during that time I got very sick so my stop me being very ill an my sister remained soloists artist so everyone took there professional career in another turn of different directions years later I took my high school diploma an became a llicense cosmetologist single mom with 2005-2019 with two resolutions Shalena Porter day as well as never give up day every October 18 from Boston city council even I'm continuing a single mom because be i choose to be since then god came on the winning side giving me a remarkable unique gift with hands that picks up everything automatically none stop an also very stable from years an I thank God for that.
I never understood why people gave her a bad time 2001 for what was considered "erratic behaviors". I saw the clips (like that one with the mic and the one with the ice cream) and I was wondering : "what's the big deal?" There was nothing erratic about it. Whitney did so much worse on a daily basis. Why pick on Mariah? Maybe because she is so perfect, people need to knock her down.
Mariah’s brother Morgan came out in an interview disclosing her bi polar condition long before now. He did this interview with the National Enquirer and it is on RUclips. It took her years to own up to it, but why did her brother disclosed this long time ago. With this segment why isn’t anyone discussing her intake of alcohol while taking her medication. Watch the RUclips video and her brother states she has a drinking and a bi polar condition to which Mariah takes after her mother for this who Morgan states their mother has a drinking problem too. I know it is hard for people with substance abuse problems to confess and admit they have a problem. Nothing in this segment addresses her alcoholism the way Morgan addressed it.
I've always loved My Mariah !!! Ever since I was a little kid. I loved her artistry and could see no wrong tht she did. However, I do notice often tht she always seems disconnected when she would engage w/the audience. Whether taking pictures or just having conversation within an interview....She never seems present. Behind the smile, she appears aloof.
People just don't understand what it is like to struggle from a mental health problem/s. It's an inner battle wherein you would think that you're alone. Other people around you can only say so much.

*psychology* is very *important*
Good for her, hope she get through with it.
I've been diagnosed with bipolar and manic disorders since 2011. So I understand. But love your music. Always have.
I guarantee being an icon in the industry has a lot to do with it. Can you imagine the nonstop people around you & the pressure?
This is so horrific! My hands are violently convulsing like a tsunami as I type this!
The strongest woman ever, she came thru everything
skinny legend mariah
I never understood why people gave her a bad time 2001 for what was considered "erratic behaviors". I saw the clips (like that one with the mic and the one with the ice cream) and I was wondering : "what's the big deal?" There was nothing erratic about it. Whitney did so much worse on a daily basis. Why pick on Mariah? Maybe because she is so perfect, people need to knock her down.
I love Mimi! She's a goddess and always been my idol! Love you Marian! God bless!❤❤❤
What a inspirational story.
We love Mariah she is still the greatest!
And now Mariah ended this decade and started the decade with a blast
It’s all good Mariah. ❤️
Power to everything with bipolar. It’s a struggle we all have. But it’s super power too. Xx
