Thanks brother I had almost the exact same experience. I am so glad I only had to watch one video prior to finding your video about solving this issue.
I have a central pneumatic gun without part numbers my seal is 2.7” outside 2.3 “ inside. Can you provide the seal dimensions you aré replacing, trying to find one that is will fit my gun. Thanks
@@GlennsSpeedShop already fixed, found it on Amazon, I did spend a whole day screwing framing together so happy to be back in action. I did order just that part because symptom was exactly the same as well as onset so I was glad it only needed what yours did. Appreciate the insight.
I work on nail gyns but 11 year. On that porter cable gun you changed that collar but you should have changed that piston stop in the cap as well. Them two parts are the parts that goes out on that gun. As so remember that porter cable and DeWalt has different types from 1-3
great video same problem on mine what's the name of the part your replaced elso what pressure is recommended for this tool so i dont have same problem again thanks .👍
I have the same nail gun works fine but sometimes it double nails what could be the problem I am very careful to only pull the trigger once. no matter how slight or gentile I am when I pull it Thanks Fred
I think you may have too light of a touch on the spring loaded nose piece. You can hold the trigger down and bounce the nose piece one time and it should shoot one nail or hold the nose piece firmly and pull the trigger firmly and should function well. I think your trying to be gental with it and it's more designed for fast production.
I bought a case of framing nails and a case of shorter nails at ho.e depot 12 years ago when I bought it. They should be able to help. It's a good nail gun
Emmanuel did you solve the problem? My nail gun says it uses 34° clipped head nails between 2" and 3-1/2". I cant find them anywhere. Have you tried 30° nails?
Thanks 🙏 I have the same one and this vid shows me what to do and look for. Just ordered a rebuild kit.
Glad I could help

I do not remember the name of the part. This is a common point of failure from what my viewers tell me .
