I'm rebuilding my dvx 400 head and cylinder for the first time and following your instruction. I find everything very useful and thanks to you I'm making it through. I bought the Chinese version Big Bore and hopefully that works out. I also have a BF 650 Bombardier that was professionally done so I want to see how I can do working on my own stuff. Again, I find your videos extremely useful and hope we can keep in touch
Good to hear you iterate the importance of putting parts back where they have made themselves home. So important if you are doing a maintenance decoke and seat and/or a set of rings. 👍 PS: I had the same issue with the plug in the KLX400r I just picked up, 1100Km on the clock, never touched (I hope). I spent hours cleaning it out, not letting any fall into the pot. Cut the thread end off the plug and screwed it back in while I ground out the shit and flushed it out. Stressful. Nice tutorial. Cheers
Your videos are awesome and super descriptive and being a novice to small motor repairs I appreciate it even more. Thank you. Getting ready to start my LTZ400 top end rebuild.
Nice worrk, my dood 😎🤘 These bikes run for sooooo long with no maintenance... until they don’t.. Sooo many of these Kfx-ltz-dvx 400 machines are ridden hard with no love. Until broken. Take someone experienced with you if your buying one of these
@rg4wawawa717 Check the timing, also low compression will cause a no start. Spray it with starting fluid and see if it pops over. If it does you have low compression
@RCB Garage that was my concern. I don't think mine are so ill go pick some up. I'm in the process of rebuild top end of my kfx. I'll post the video when I'm done. I just started a channel myself. Would be awesome if you subscribed. My videos will get better with time
Being a RUclips creator isn’t easy. I have been doing this for two years now. It’s slow going without a viral video. I am still waiting for my viral video lol.
@RCB Garage you will get it. Compared to alot of videos I watch yours are very good. Keep at it. I've learned alot from you and have adapted some of your techniques
You really shouldn't lap modern valves and seats. With a valve seat width as big as that you drastically reduce the sealing potential because of increased surface area.

What grit sand stone are you using?
What’s the little tool you use called to put the valve stems in?
You are good mechanic, I really like the way you work
Thank you very much!

Hello, I come from Germany and don't always understand everything. Can you tell me the piston ring gap again? and what gap do the oil rings have?
What grit honing stones do you use? BTW, you have a following among the community. I was sent to your channel from The ATV Hustle if I remember right.
@@SaltyBob355 Thanks for checking out the channel! The stones I use are made by Norton. aluminum oxide oil stone fine grit.
Great video I appreciate the details.
Hello, good video, do you have a workshop?
I don’t but I do fix subscribers stuff. Where are you located?
@@RCBGarage I live in Arkansas, I have a Suzuki Ltz, it has spark, compression and gasoline, but I can't get it started.

Is that a metal wire wheel? Can you do the same for top of piston?
Yes you can, make sure the wire wheel is of a soft metal like brass.

@@RCBGarageI watch your video every day and rewatch it in the garage as I’m building mine engine ltz400 2003 until it’s finished
Awesome video.
You never lap factory valves
