- This lady wanted her yard cut after I already cut it. I went out and gave them a quote and cut their grass in less than 1 hour, and she still tried to pull one over on me.

Rude people don't deserve rewarding, just ignored and dissed!
Bump that deck up to at least 1/4 inch higher than you cut the week before! You may not be cutting much grass but it keeps that grass in the game. And plus you can come back and cut again next week! More money homies!
Should always make them pay. Then part with them. Should know cheap customer when they 2 week you. Red flags 🚩
I had a customer do the same thing I did get my payment but I fired them soon as I got my payment
I cut mine at 3 inches normally except for the other side of my front yard and cut at 3 1/2 because of rocks here in Missouri. My property is on a hill and so most of the rain lands in the back. I cut it once a week. The rest of the property is in pastures so I brush cut it with my tractor and I cut it short. I'm 71 and each year I hate mowing every year. I have a Gravelly commercial zero turn which has been a great mower since 2014, I bought it in Florida.
Yep those kind of folks will forever be a problem. At least you figured it out on the first mow
had a customer who wanted their yard cut less than 2". I was cutting it at 2 1/2 it was all good. Then all of a sudden weeds pop up because of spring and they blamed me for a ticket they got a few days later for "tall grass" it was weeds that kept growing. I told them they need to put some weed killer down but they still wanted me to mow low. I just told them i wasnt liable if any rocks or debri hit their windows or cars because they had just did some rock work. A few weeks later they tell me they dont need my services anymore. It was a nice neighborhood and they cant keep their yard under control, especially in a HOA area. I even warned them about the weeds before hand.
Man I always see other lawn care guys with no face coverings on. I always get covered with dirt and grass and crap lol.
I skipped two this week. No rain for a few weeks. thankfully rain coming next few weeks
I was cutting a ladys yard at 2.5 and she loved it. Then, before I went the next time she said dhe wanted it lower. SHe wanted 2.0 and I told her to find someone else. We have the in ground termite baits and at 2.0 there is a strong chance of hitting them. 2.25 is the lowest I will go "if" the lawn is level
Next time, have customer book and pay online then mow their grass.
Hi, this is All Seasons Lawn Care out of Virginia Beach the lowest I cut is 3", going on two weeks with any rain but i haven't skipped any yards yet
Well, I guess it depends on the grass you have in your lawns.
4” to 4.25” here in Grand Rapids. Going to be skipping a good amount next week.
Some people--actually ALOT of people like that unhealthy shortchop scalp homeowner look, because it's what their neighbors ( who don't have services, and cut low because they don't like mowing and want it to grow back slow so they can extend the time they don't have to mow ) do. I get alot of customers out of that that way of thinking, but I love customers who tell
I dont blame you. Down here in GA we mow mainly at 2.5 to 3.5. Mainly centipede grass and bermuda. I would have been pissed. Ive had my share of those types of ppl. Im just happy i can afford to not deal with those kinds. Thank you lord
I’m in Georgia and cut from 2.25-2.50 inches right now mostly Bermuda lawns
Here in Nashville Tennessee I mow at 2.25 weekly. Bermuda is the most.
How do you handle Centipede lawns? Centipede grass should be cut at 1 1/2" under normal conditions and 2" in extreme heat. Cutting higher caused weed issues.
