Do you ever wear a braided protective style whilst texlaxed?, and if so, how have you found the takedown process and dealing with new growth against the texlaxed strand? I like protective styles ALOT, but worry that if I texlax, my hair will break off between the new growth and straighter parts of my hair. Any advice please??
Thank you so much for this Ify, I've been natural for 6 years and I'm finally ready to go Texlaxing this year. Your hair looks so amazing. I listened and actually jotted things down 😊 like you advised because I know they would come in handy. I just need to know how long I might need to stay after texlaxing since my hair is natural. Yours was 14 minutes because you were texlaxing the under growth. Please let me know how long it might take for a natural hair
Hello. Thanks for the video, quite informative. I have a few questions. In your previous video on texlaxing, you had mentioned how moisture is not friendly towards texlaxing, You also mentioned shrinkage. After texlaxing and stretching with heat to see your length, how do you keep it in this state if you want to keep wearing it out for a few weeks before doing a protective style? Also how do you keep it moisturized when stretched out since moisture will cause it to shrink? Thank you.
Hey Ify. I discovered your channel through Nelo Okeke- she shared your video on her community page. I’ve binge watched your video since then, loving it 😍. Thanks for this video. I actually have been doing this since I moved here but I didn’t know what it was called 😀. I do it myself though, can’t find anyone to do it for me. Will do more research about it in order to do it well.
Hi can I texlax my hair after having a texturizer for 8 months in my hair. Can you apply a relaxer only the new growth? Or do I have to let the texturizer grow out? I luv your videos. Thks for enlightening those of us that need good educated hair guidance.
Hello, can you make a wash day video on your texlax hair? I'm going to get my hair done professionally for mother's day and I would love to see how to care for it properly after and also what's the best products to used.
hi! loved this breakdown. Thank you for sharing. Can I please ask what conditioner you mix into your relaxer and salon you go to for professional service
Hmm! I’m new here, so, I just subscribed and turned on ALL notifications from this channel. Moving on, I’m wandering what the difference is, if there is any, between a TEXLAXED hair and a RELAXED hair.
I have been thinking of texlaxing my hair for a while now but haven’t found the will power to mainly because I have been natural for 6years and both my girls hair are natural and I don’t know if they will start asking me why my hair texture is different from theirs. And that bring me to this question did you texlax you girls hair too or they are natural ?
My girls are natural.. and I will encourage you to not feel pressured to getting a texlax. In as much as there are pros to texlaxing there are also cons as well..
Woah tired of my natural hair, I needed motivation to texlax or relax, I will go the texlax route cause of this video
Yayyyy ❤️❤️🌸
I am seriously considering texlaxing my hair.. Love how detailed this video is.
Thank you mama!! It is a better and safer way to apply chemicals to your hair.
Did you do it?
Please make more videos on hair.
This is so detailed for someone that is considering texlaxing
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Definitely mixing my relaxer with conditioner from now on.
👏🏼👏🏼
You're hair looks very healthy, i love it.

This is one of the best videos on texlaxing I've seen. Please what is the amount of conditioner do you add to the relaxer?
thank you> Just enough to reduce the potency of the relaxer

Great idea! will try to do one really soon
Ify your hair is very long and healthy.
Thank you ❤️❤️
I was just about to texlax. Been looking out for what product to use. Thanks for sharing and you got a new friend here!
You are most welcome! Please let me know how it went
I did mine at home by myself. Not the result I expected but its OK.
I guess I should have gone to the salon like you do.
Texlaxing is harder because people smooth it on the hair. If they would just apply it and not comb it in would make it less straight.
Hearing of texlaxing for the first time, lemme watch till end.
Did you understand it now??
Ify, what protein treatment do you use in step 1
👍👍 Thanks for the tips. You have a beautiful hair😍
You are welcome ❤️❤️
I am about to do so. Had natural hair for 4 years now
cool... let me know how that goes
Wow 28 weeks. I struggle to keep my hair for 12 weeks.
Yupppp! It takes a lot of patience
beautiful hair, I need it
Thank you ❤️
If you don't mention it, no one will know it's your real hair, well done girl! Thanks for sharing.
Bless you ❤️
Amen!
Very thorough and informative 💓💓
Glad it was helpful!
Please can u mix the activator and the conditioner with the cream
Great tips. I suggest you open a salon for just texlaxing 😊
Haha! Thank you.
Can you share the protein treatment you use plz, Thanks. enjoying your vlogs by the way
check out protein defence by Enitan. she's on instagram😊
What kind of conditioner do u use and what's the purpose of the conditioner
What if I use a texturiser instead of relaxer
Can I go from being a straight relaxed hair to telaxed?
hi! loved this breakdown. Thank you for sharing. Can I please ask what conditioner you mix into your relaxer and salon you go to for professional service
I’m based in lagos and I use @tasalahq on Instagram.. ask for Zainab. She’s very good at texlaxing.
@@IfyOkoye thanks! 🤩

Same as texturizing the hair.
👍🏿👏🏿🙌🏿 thank you
Can textlaxed hair be braided after it's done
I will strongly recommend that you don’t braid until you are 3 weeks post
Does it affect the color of your hair?
Absolutely not 😀
I would NOT use box relaxers. I'll use lye.
