    Very good and informative video. I had never heard of grain direction in paper before. It does make sense that it could be important.

    Hello Macrina, I have a poorly made, "cheap" version of a book on calculus. This paperback volume was made in India as opposed to its hardback American version. After some use, I noticed it had creases developing down the cover from head to tail. It was not immediately clear to me as to why. Now, after looking at bookbinding videos, it has become all too clear.

      Thank you - I'm pleased it was helpful! I learned bookbinding when I entered a Cistercian monastery in which bookbinding was one of the main means of supporting the community.
