I came upon this video while searching for the method described by Eric Hebborn in his Art Forger's Handbook, thinking that I could certainly make my own paper with the aid of visual reference. Well, the method shown here is exactly how he described, but I was completely foolish to think that I could do it myself. hehe Wonderful video still.
by today's standards it is, because we now have cheaper ways to do it, but back then it was chap compared to other techniques. at least that is what I unrestrained.
Now, in 2022, rag paper is sought by watercolor artists, and is VERY expensive...but the best!

Rag paper was cheaper than parchment. Wood pulp paper hadn't been invented yet.
