I can relate too, I live in a house with 3 bedrooms, 1 toilet, a dining room, living room and kitchen with a small garden we DIYed from a yard And we are a family of 4 Not the smallest place, but tiny compared to Evan and Katelyn's place Houses are more expensive in the UK tho so it sorta makes sense

Same, I always find it funny when people have a huge house and are like "I/we need more space" (not that they don't need it/deserve it) but living in a 30m2 apartment, one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom with my mom and my cat... Needless to say, it has been both a learning and humbling experience. Can't wait to have a bedroom again, I know I will appreciate it now.

Bathroom doors can be overrated when it's just you or you and a partner. Me and my partner have had an open-door policy since we first lived together 8 years ago (in my dingy little flat that also had no bathroom door). We only close the door nowadays when we are showering/bathing (to contain the steam and minimise drafts) or if we have guests (obviously, to be polite). When we lived somewhere with an ensuite, we had a 'no pooping in the ensuite' rule and I imagine E&K may have a similar rule implemented to avoid stinky bedroom situations. Oddest bathroom situation was when we moved in with my Mother-in-law, the houses original dining room had previously been converted into a bedroom with ensuite for my partner's nan, who was cared for at home with them for the end of her years. Because of the space limitations and the need for the bathroom to be small but fully accessible, they just hung a curtain in the doorway. This room then became our living room when we moved in, and the bathroom our personal bathroom by default, whilst his Mum used the main bathroom upstairs. The room was in the front of the house with huge bay windows directly overlooking a busy street and there wasn't any blinds or anything like that to add privacy in the daytime, so you had to close the curtains to use the shower so you weren't seen wandering about in a towel by the entire street. We didn't bother just for using the toilet, but it always felt odd coming out of the bathroom to a view of the street.
My ensuite bathroom does not have a door. It as a door frame (and the holes from previous door brackets) for french doors. The first thing I did was buy a tension rod and some curtains for it.

I love this video; every time they did a home improvement video or showed off a large project in their living room I've wanted to see them do a house tour. Katelyn has great taste in furniture and design, so even in the spaces that feel cramped, the house looks great. I love seeing how they've improved and changed things as they've gotten more into streaming, where they store all their projects and all the background things from videos like the amazing tool collection in the garage. Evan's right, he could probably do a full video on their video/stream setup.

Ceiling fan being held up with nails hits home. I replaced a wobbly ceiling fan that was held attached to the joist with roofing nails! Unlike the nails you encountered I pulled the box out by hand! how that ceiling fan stayed up is a miracle. Also, beard bangs should be the inspiration for Evan cutting your hair!
You guys should do a “wheel picks our resin” video with the wheels in your office closet. You put some ides on the wheel and the wheel picks what to do. You can have it pick glitters, colors, styling, etc.!

I never thought I'd watch a 40 minute house tour but everything about this from the cute flashbacks of you guys and the stories behind each room was so much fun to watch 🥰

I love this video; every time they did a home improvement video or showed off a large project in their living room I've wanted to see them do a house tour. Katelyn has great taste in furniture and design, so even in the spaces that feel cramped, the house looks great.
I love seeing how they've improved and changed things as they've gotten more into streaming, where they store all their projects and all the background things from videos like the amazing tool collection in the garage.
Evan's right, he could probably do a full video on their video/stream setup.
We NEEEED a show about evan geeking over his tech. its all so cool and i'd love to hear about it.

Ceiling fan being held up with nails hits home. I replaced a wobbly ceiling fan that was held attached to the joist with roofing nails! Unlike the nails you encountered I pulled the box out by hand! how that ceiling fan stayed up is a miracle. Also, beard bangs should be the inspiration for Evan cutting your hair!
I just imagine that when Katelyn sped up Evan talking about the gaming set up and electronics that’s how it is in her brain as well hahahaha
You guys should do a “wheel picks our resin” video with the wheels in your office closet. You put some ides on the wheel and the wheel picks what to do. You can have it pick glitters, colors, styling, etc.!
My husband and I have been watching yall so long that we have gotten married, and had two kids. One of which I went into labor while watching yall live on Twitch. It's cool to see y'all grow. Super excited for a new house tour!
that workshop section felt like a total throwback, i didnt realize how much everything had changed. i remembered some of those exact clips, like the garage door open and rainy because there was no lighting. congrats on your growth, im glad to have been around long enough to see it!
Evan's 'old man couches' are my 'new nice couch' that i bought because the old ones had about 30 years of use. all i can say is that model of couch is so confortable!!
they're super comfy! maybe not the most modern stylish, but super comfy, and some would say that's all that matters really!!

Honestly, one of the most exciting parts of them getting a new place is the potential to see Katelyn's design skills at work for room makeover videos because the ones they've done on the channel in the past have been amazing.
