hey! if you guys like funny knickknacks that are like elf on the shelf (but way funnier) you should look into smiskis! they're little glow in the dark dudes in a blind bag hexagon box and they have multiple series, on for the bathroom in particular. They're super funny (and fun to play with, me and my boyfriend do it a lot as we both have mini smiski collections) and some are meant to be like peeking around corners and crawling on the top edge of something.
Can we talk about how adorable the two of them are? Like its so cute

@@oskaruib As far as I know, the authentic technique uses a special clay and takes upwards of a month. You can get food safe resins though for incidental contact. What I don't know is if you get ones rated for prolonged contact with hot liquids.

To be fair, nails have much higher shear strength than screws so are better for this application.

I thought it may have been some stain that she somehow got into, since that’s really sticky as well if it’s not applied properly. Your idea makes a lot of sense too!

The goop looks like sap from the wood, not bugs. Brown and sticky sap.😁 Yes, the tree can still excrete sap after it's been cut.😊

Okay, I think talking about unfinished or abandoned projects is so relatable....I have about ten around my house and I don't have NEARLY the same number of completed projects as you do! I know we love the make fail make fail make motto, but it's also great to see the flat fails....whether they lost their purpose, didn't work out as planned, or don't spark joy to finish them.

@@EvanAndKatelyn the goop could have been resin/rosin/sap from some untreated/raw wood if you had any lying around, cus changing temperatures and raw wood warping can cause that stuff to be squeezed out! either way i do know GOOP is icky!

I once spent two days cleaning and organising my garage (when my dad would work in there all the time) and since I finish at night, my dad came in the next after work... I came into the garage 5 minutes later and it was TRASHED, I was pissed but yeah that’s why I haven’t tried to clean up the garage again, that was like 4 years ago..

Just finished day 1 of my room cleanup. Haven't cleaned it in like 2 years, and it got so bad I barely could see the floor, my desk, and my chair. (pretty sure there is mold growing somewhere..) Literally slowly burying myself for sure, so I feel this video. Great to see what you got done, very encouraging!

It's always amazing how much extra room you have when you rearrange something. I tend to rearrange stuff at least three or four times a year in my house and it's always shocking how much checks your room I have! Also how much junk I have to get rid of while doing this.

The Real Talk at 10:48 is so refreshing. I have like a million of those half-finished projects or half-baked ideas. And it's hard letting go, cause it feels like failure. But honestly, if famous RUclipsrs who are *known for building awesome stuff* also have similar problems, it really can't be all that bad. It changes what my idea of success looks like, and that helps me in a deep and meaningful way.

Whenever I'm upset or bored I watch this E&K home fixing playlist (or just this one garage video) and it always makes me feel better
Nails are also the bane of my existence- they weren't, just neutral (always preferred screws), until bought my house and the previous owners LOVED nails. Everything in the garage is put up with nails, along with random ones for hooks. They put nails instead of cup hooks along the eves for Christmas lights, so every year... I deal with nails. Just today I took out half a high shelf in the garage, and ended up putting dents in the drywall because it's soft and the nails were huge (thank god it's just the garage). But the bonus is that I love my new 5-shelf unit and half-high shelf, and that corner of the garage is so much neater and cleaner. But oh man, Evan, I FEEL YOU on nails.

I'm watching old eps of E&K because I've only recently discovered your channel, and I always thought "lookit how Fancy these guys are, they made their own studio~ so fancyyy~" and now I see that the whole studio set up was basically an accident?! Whaaaat? That's crazy. It ended up looking INSANELY good, like I thought you got professionals to come in and build a workshop HGTV style studio in your garage for your youtube channel.
