Great job getting these. I used them while serving in the U.S. Marines. They work very well, don't stink, and clean up easily.

Great deal! Hubby says to keep your eyes away from the fumes, it burns like hell.

I haven't tried those but thanks for the recommendation.

I've heard the same but I haven't had any negative experiences myself. From what I've heard if they are 100% sealed they will last forever but if you have even the smallest hole in the wrapping, they're gone within a few years.

We used to get them at gun shows, locally in Sacramento area, and Reno Gun Show, for just a slightly lesser price, but source dried up 3-4 yrs ago, good find!

Great find Luke. I've read that they have a limited shelf life and am curious if their's an expiration date on the box. Looking forward to the comparison vid. Take care brother.

In most cases I use these as fire starter rather than cooking but it's a nice alternative to have. Overall I have to say that I like the Trioxane a bit better even though Esbit last longer.
    Take care my friend.

Have you used the wet fire cubes from Ultimate Survival Technologies? Just wondering how the 3 would compare. Thanks for all the great reviews!

trioxane is cheaper but in theory you will need 2 times more fuel than esbit to boil the same ammount of water.... so Trioxane only have around half of the energy per ounce compared to Esbit tablets. trioxane is not as efficient as Esbit, is way more toxic (even so Esbit tablets are toxic too) and burns faster. But hey! at that price, who can complain :). It's definitly a great deal for emergencies and hiking.....
    thanks for the video.

haha! I just got the same exact thing! Great minds think alike, I guess. Ebay, right?
I tried one in the garage, got over 8 minutes burn time.
Better than Esbit in my humble opinion, easier to light, easier to stay lit.

As long as they are sealed, they will last forever.

When they effervesce (turns to powder, not solid), DO NOT allow the powder to get into your food or you'll have the shits for days!...M
