    Thanks. I am about to purchase one for myself. I like the brand and the quality. And 20 is fast enough for me. I am cutting down on the gas consumption. Use for work and cruises. Just makes sense to me. I am 6'4 at 240. And I do not want to bounce off of the road. Just seems safer. And I can satisfy my need to carve whenever I want to.
    Thanks for the video.

    Funny thing about this is my commute is from Redmond to Bellevue and my biggest fear has been that hill at the start of 520. At first I was like cool someone from the area is actually going through the 520 trail, then you over heated on the giant hill! Shouldnt be a problem for me as that would be only about 1-2 miles away from the start of my commute and I’m somewhere south of 190 lbs. Thanks for sharing the video and maybe I’ll finally join the Seattle electric ride you guys always do!

    I have had the Segway max G2 for 3 months now and have driven 1,130km with it.
    In principle it is quite good, unfortunately there is no power for steeper gradients and mine is throttled.
    The suspension is sufficient for commuting to work.
    The light at the front is far too dim.
    Instead of the horn, I installed a very good bell and cell phone holder.
    Otherwise he's really cool.

    Hi Ginger I was wondering what's your opinion on the Daultron Speedway V, have you ever road it?

  • @VladPayne
    @VladPayne 11 месяцев назад +2

    Right of the bat, I've noticed that the EU version has a rounded plastic/shroud covering the front wheel fork (US is square-ish and lower profile). In some regions they have good options that are excluded in EU - rear brake light behavior, no cruise control (major issue for me), max speed 25 kmh (less of a problem, as I still think it is a bit weak for 35+. Looking for how to enable the cruise control without flashing it. Changing region in the app did nothing. A hazard I've noticed is that if you set the regenerative breaking to max, then it slows down really fast if you release the throttle, but the brake light does not light up until you touch the lever. Headlight could have been a 0.5 watt brighter. Projecting distance of it is ideal (xiaomi missed that placing it too close)

    I have question which you might possibly better answer. The voltage of this scooter is 36 while NIU KQi300 X series (which you might know is a new series) has 48 voltage. On the other hand, Max G2 has two suspecions while KQi300X has one in the front only. What side is more worth to consider?

    Not sure how else to reach out to you but I'm in Federal Way and purchased a vsett 10 plus when I saw your videos. I have less than 100 mi on it though and the back brake seems to be quite squishy. I have bled the brakes and I have even tried the top off method where I try to pull all the air out of the top of the brake system. I was hoping maybe you could give me some advice on how to fix this?

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  Год назад +1

      I'm guessing you didn't bleed the brakes properly. I've tried before where I didn't run enough mineral oil through the line and it was still squishy. I just recently did a full bleed on my scooters. This kit and the instructions that came with it were all I needed.

      @@GingerOnWheels thank you I used the zoom kit as those are the brakes I have. I followed the video on Rev rides's channel. Do you know how much fluid the entire system takes? I'm thinking that maybe if I push the entire volume worth of fluid through it will work.

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  Год назад +1

      @@Ace-Brigade I think the whole line uses about 1.5 tubes of that mineral oil stuff. Just keep pushing oil through the tube, in through the bottom and out the top, eventually you'll push that air bubble out.

    I experienced my first (HI) Temp warning on the display of the scooter, which caused my Max G2 to stop running at a slight incline. Before that I was able to ride it just fine on a flat surface. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I was not able to check the temp from the app at the time the warning happened. It basically went back to normal after 1 minute of resting and then i was able to proceed to ride it like nothing happened. The temp said 34C, which is 93F on the scooter. The motor in the rear felt very hot to the touch. The outdoor temp was 69F but humidity was 68% i got to ride it on a flat surface for about 4 miles before the overheating temp warning came on. Any advice would be appreciated. By the way my weight is 260lbs, yes im aware that i am 5lbs shy off the max payload. 😅

      Make sure regen brakes are down low and don't have it on the 22mph speed all the time. On really steep hill don't full throttle for along time. It will start tugging from it trying to work real hard. Don't coast down hills just slowly throttle down hills. These are things that helped for me.

    I just picked up mine today from bestbuy. Im loving the scooter so far. There are a couple of small things i didnt like immediately after powering on the Max G2.
    1. You CAN'T turn off the headlight and leave the rear tail light on to save a bit of power and use a brighter external headlight, its not a deal breaker but i feel being able to turn off the headlight separately from the tail light would help with battery life a bit even if its just an extra mile or two, Range is important.
    2. Nowhere in the manual does it tell you that in order to remove the 20Mph limiter on the app, you need to set your scooter to Sport mode, then on the app you can select custom speed adjustment for sport mode and then increase the soeed from 20Mph to 22Mph. By the way double pressing the power button on the scooter is how you switch speed modes.
    3. To pair the scooter with the app after plugging in the scooter power cable to charge it, you need to press and hold the power button on the scooter to pair it to the app via bluetooth.
    Nowhere in the manual did i see this lol! It took me a bit to figure it out. But i agree with the review this thing takes off and im extremely happy with it, i may consider getting that extra battery pack later on.

I did have to harden the suspension in the rear but this thing takes off quick! I would get it if i were you. i am not proud of being 330lbs but this scooter is doing great so far. As for range since i used it for about 30 minutes i did notice a bit of speed reduction from 22 to 19 which is what the display said but it was also 82 degrees outside, as for range i havent tested it yet to see how far i can go with 1 charge being a heavy guy like me.
