Random aside: If you want something to help with undereye circles and puffiness (yours isn’t bad at all, but I get wanting to fix it), The Ordinary puts out a 5% caffeine solution that fixed mine right up.
I really liked the gold accents. I don’t know if it had anything to do with the movie, but there’s a little bit of a vibe there with being “shallow,” attracted to displays of wealth, that I thought made some sense. Thanks for taking the time to react!

Congrats on graduation! I swear that 95% of PTX covers are better than the original and this is no exception. You might investigate some of the deeper harmonic aspects of PTX ARRANGEMENTS such as the minor 9ths--beautiful chords with such emotional color. Also listen closely to the beautiful counter-melodies Kevin is playing on “Beyonce“ ! Killin’!

Congratulations on your high school graduation!! I appologize for not digging through more of your posts to learn whether you are going on to college and...most importantly...going to one that has a good glee club or other form of acapella performing group. My daughters graduated from U of VA and I had the great pleasure of hearing "The Virginia Gentlemen" perform.
As someone who understands and appreciates excellent acapella, you should know about Julia Westlin. Earlier this year you reviewed PTX' cover of "The Sound of Silence." It's impossible for them to do something less than outstanding, and their cover of SOS is no exception. She records and layers 6 to 8 parts using her voice and beat boxing. She also enlists her fiancee David MeShow to contribute a bass line. When she and David mix it down into a single file, it's magic. See what you think. She and David also did a magnificent duet cover of "Shallow" in January.

@@mitchscupcake Wow! Good for you!! Berklee has a great reputation. Be sure to take in the BSO and Pops whenever possible. My wife's family is from the Berkshires. In the '60s she spent summers with her aunt near Pittsfield and worked as a "program girl" at Tanglewood. Years later, during the Seiji Ozawa era, we visited her aunt during Tanglewood season and got lawn tickets--a remarkable evening!
Julia is immensely talented but, as far as I know, had no formal music education past high school (in Sweden.) Ten years ago, she and David met online, and before too long, she moved to be with him in the French-speaking part of Canada (between Quebec and Montreal.) He speaks very little Swedish and she speaks very little French, so their household language of choice is English! He's a rocker and sometimes she fronts for his one-man-YT-band--here's their rendition of Imagine Dragons' "Believer" (ruclips.net/video/Iyf5nAFkG3E/видео.html). Last month, he joined her in a lovely duet performance (ruclips.net/video/K3HpUwNbxCg/видео.html) of "Bad Liar", also by Imagine Dragons.
Don't be put off by their absence from the concert circuit. She suffers from multiple medical conditions that make it impossible to manage that lifestyle. Her aspiration is to write movie scores. Scott and Mitch are gay. Kirstie and Scott looked at each other to portray Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. It's funny but a lot of people don't realize Kirstie was up there in the high notes with Mitch, before her amazing solo. 😊👍
