The Giga is the true victim. Out of all the villainous dinosaurs, it acted the most like an actual animal/real dinosaur. It saw that the main cast had intruded upon it's territory, and so, it defended it accordingly. Not to mention, when it and Rexy met in the valley for the first time over the deer, it didn't try to kill her. It simply showed her who the true alpha predator was, and took the deer. It was simply protecting its territory. But for some reason, it gets the most brutal death in the film.
Despite being made to look like a monster, this guy behaved pretty accurately, aside from beating a T. rex he was just a big, dopey and territorial animal. I actually felt bad for the way he died, he didn’t kill anyone or anything aside from the Prehistoric T. rex. The BioSyn clone didn’t really do anything to earn a death like that.
I totally agree but think of the spinosarus and the buck trex the spinosarus was trying to kill the humans but went for the trex just to stay dominant as the apex predator so the trex and the thera where doing a mutualism (2 species helping each other) to get this apex predator out of the land the reside

I know it’s a movie, but I find it hilarious how a group of 7 were able to crawl around a car then slow walk up the building without a casualty from the largest land predator known to man as they repeat 15 thousand times 😂
It sucks cus trex was heavier (biggest scientifically) and the spino was larger (taller, longer) just semi-aquatic. And gigos ran in pack were notorious sauropod hunters

Both stood 20 feet tall but giga was 45 feet long whereas rex was 40. So the giganatosaurus is infact the largest terrestrial land carnivore to ever walk the face of the planet, regardless of raw power or not which the tyrannosaur was 100% superior in.
the film gave giga a unique bunch of iconic roars like the t rexes and the spinosaurus (among my favourite sfx) and its crazy because when it circles the upside down car its like you can hear every single small growling sound it makes when it breathes, so you are constantly hearing noises, giving more of the sense of scale- it not only looks but it sounds bigger.
I get this film isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But growing up with the franchise, despite the flaws it holds, I love this movie, and I especially love how extremely intimidating the giganotosaurus design is. Reminds me of the Carnotaurus design in Disney’s dinosaur

Few things could defeat a Tyranosaurus Rex. Giganotosaurus wasn't one of them. (and basically nothing could break a T rex' neck: They were so strong and thick they'll sooner die due to an intestine parasite than having their necks snapped. Also, they had the biggest eyeballs of all creatures, so their eyesight was impeccable)
What snapped Proto-Rexy’s neck was the jolt of her falling into the mud combined with the Giga’s grip on her neck. There’s a really cool Goji Center video on the Prologue fight, if you want to check it out.
I think the carcharodontasaurs do have one advantage over T-Rex - they’re actually meant to bring down large prey. They aren’t brawlers. They get a good slicing bite then back down. They simply need to wait until their prey bleeds. Bite then run.
The African Lion cant break a water buffalos neck with its bite yet they have been observed killing the latter. The Rex just like any modern terrestrial animal had a throat full of muscles tendons muscles a windpipe and blood vessels. Giganotosaurus biteforce is a hotly debated topic most estimates start at about 6000 psi (which id say is definitely plausible seein how its only 2000 lbs more than what the modern day saltwater crocodiles jaws can produce) plus seein how theres only a handful of specimens that were unearthed its not all too likely that the jaws these numbers are based on belonged to a particularly large individual. That biteforce alone would be enough to compress a rexes neck combine that with teeth that can be as long as a banana with an edge thats designed to rip through soft tissue and you can add a bunch of lacerations to the major blood vessels to the mix and even with the biteforce not bein enough to crush the vertebrae it could still very likely result in major injuries to the spinal cord perhaps even sever the individual segments in the process. This whole ''it cant break the neck'' argument has about as much reasoning put behind it as someone sayin that a 9x19 to the head is not lethal couse it doesnt blow the head clean off like a .500 magnum would. Also havin your eyes on the side of your head or in front doesnt really make much of a difference when both animals have clearly taken note of one another and the party youre tryin to see is as long as a schoolbus. The winner of this hypothetical contest in a real life setting is whoever gets to bite down on his opponents neck first period.

You know even though I prefer t.rex, it still bothers me they just kill the giga in the finale. It does nothing to truly deserve it's brutal death other than follow the dinosaur behavior of the first two films. The theri felt malevolent in comparison. Also the giga design has really grown on me and has become my second favorite of the large carnivores in the series.

Something that confuses me is the design of the giga and T rex in the flashback. Its always been said the designs in jurassic park/world were so unrealistic because their genetics are mixed up with other animals but in the flashback they still look extremely inaccurate, not to mention that giganotosaurus lived way before Tyrannosaurus rex??

Half these characters would have been torn to shreds if this wasn't just another cynical team-up movie... but Universal didn't have the guts to kill anyone on "Team Plot-Armor", did they? My real only problem with this movie was that the end fight didn’t live up to Rexy & Blue vs The Indominous Rex. After that ending it just felt like they can’t top it.
I'm sad that Giganotosaurus wasn't treated with Respect on the Film, i really thought that he would be some kind of Weapon being controled by Biosyn to hunt down the Dinosaurs, hope in the Future they make things right for this Dino, cuz is one of my Favorite Theropods!
The world is full of sheeps nowadays...Somebody just ran a sentence "Giga acted like a real animal" and everyone in the jurassic series is copying that..... I dare 10 people to enter a polar bear or tiger or lion territory and come back alive in the same scenario as this... here they are giving giga run for its money ...the dinasaur acts super slow cannot keep up with a single human!!!! What did it do that was like a normal animal it is barely different than any other dinosaur prior in the series.... If this is what a norm for a real animal is than Godzilla acts even better than real animals I grew up watching jurassic park but the creators never did..... . Only Jurassic park 1 seemed legit...There was never a scene where they outrun a trex on foot ,they even struggle outrunning it in a Jeep and dinosaur was actually hunting other dinos..
The Poor Animal, sry but this was highly unfair for the Giga, those Dinosaurs are able to take down large Sauropods. I also think that he wasnt even a Villain, he was more like a Animal that was protecting its teretory and was at the Wrong Place at the Wrong time and thats sad, i hope we get Maybe in future movies a second Giga

This giga has to have some of the best sound effects in film history. Probably my favorite dinosaur in all of Jurassic World.

1 this is fiction and the rxes of this saga arent the same as irl.
2 the teeth of rexy and the rest of rexes arent even made for crushing and thats why the bite is weaker

I would've honestly loved if they made giganotosaurus just like spinosaurus won't give up hunting protagonists and eat some of Biosyn crews also at the end giganotosaurus will eat therizinosaurus later buck and doe show up and team up with Rexy to kill giganotosaurus

Man i wish the director instead had the giga have more than 1 singular kill and probably have more than indom, make him the most strongest land carnivore, have him murder humans for fun, and make him so strong that it takes 6 dinos to take him down (oh yeah and make him super smart and can predict anything that's around it)

Half these characters would have been torn to shreds if this wasn't just another cynical team-up movie... but Universal didn't have the guts to kill anyone on "Team Plot-Armor", did they? Just more proof that the "Jurassic" films slowly turned into kids' movies. Zero stakes, zero tension....waste of a great dinosaur antagonist.
Giga didn’t deserve to die… instead of a climatic battle have the Giga move on. We can get the T-Rex victory without the unnecessarily brutal death! Most chill Jurassic theropod to date gets obliterated for just being an animal. Colin should of cut the death. Whole Rex v Spino all over again

My real only problem with this movie was that the end fight didn’t live up to Rexy & Blue vs The Indominous Rex. After that ending it just felt like they can’t top it.

The world is full of sheeps nowadays...Somebody just ran a sentence "Giga acted like a real animal" and everyone in the jurassic series is copying that.....
I dare 10 people to enter a polar bear or tiger or lion territory and come back alive in the same scenario as this... here they are giving giga run for its money ...the dinasaur acts super slow cannot keep up with a single human!!!!
What did it do that was like a normal animal it is barely different than any other dinosaur prior in the series....

Only Jurassic park 1 seemed legit...There was never a scene where they outrun a trex on foot ,they even struggle outrunning it in a Jeep and dinosaur was actually hunting other dinos..

The Poor Animal, sry but this was highly unfair for the Giga, those Dinosaurs are able to take down large Sauropods. I also think that he wasnt even a Villain, he was more like a Animal that was protecting its teretory and was at the Wrong Place at the Wrong time and thats sad, i hope we get Maybe in future movies a second Giga
