Thank you for your details and tips for use of crack filling tools and the process . You guys helped me tremendously. I feel confident and i am doing this job myself, bought the product and tools... single female homeowner. Carol.
He mentioned squeegee. The other was just a roller. I wish they completed the video. I will be getting 4.0 which can work on cracks smaller than 1". For larger cracks and pot holes they have the 6.0.
Your are suppose to water it before compacting. If you compact first, then the water cannot mix with the aquaphalt, which is what it needs to do to to harden properly.
bconman Your point is valid. The problem is getting enough material into the small crack. It has to be pushed down to some degree in order for the void to be filled. Otherwise, we would have a very loose and crumbly fix that wouldn’t last.
Remove the weeds, cut into the asphalt to create straight lines with an angle grinder, apply it, pat the product down with a heavy tamper then use a hose set to shower! Dude uses a large cup. Yikes!
The product has held up fine over time. I have a short video showing it after 1 year that you can watch. We are still using it daily without any issues. I believe the 4.0 is the smallest they offer and is good for cracks down to .5 inches
Love the video, congrats!! I bought the 4.0, and plan to fill many driveway asphalt cracks using your squeegee and roller wheel method. BUT where do I get an angled squeegie like that??? and the wheel tool to compress the aquaphalt in the crack?????!!
F. Silva The squeegee can be found online by searching for “v shaped squeegee”. I believe that specific one came from amazon. The other device was a homemade test with a plastic wheel I found and attached it to a broom handle. I ended up getting a piece of 1/4 inch steel cut at a local metal shop into a circle and had them cut a hole in the middle for it to roll on. The weight of the steel worked a lot better. Unfortunately that was not filmed.

Do you have an update video, I wonder what happened after because I would like to do the same thing on big cracks that I have in my parking
You need to wet it to activate the latex in it before compressing.

Just put it right over the grass, right?
We were just testing how the product worked, not making an actual repair

So whats the difference between Aquaphalt 6.0 Black Water-Based and Aquaphalt 4???And why no water added???
I've only used the 4.0, but I believe the difference is just the texture. The 4 is a fine texture, and the 6 is a medium. We did use water.
Where did you purchase the tools to do job?
Amazon/Home Depot
Can you name the two tools you were using to fill the crack?
