Waiting to hear back from them.
"My academic background is music theory and composition. I think of -and use- modular synthesis in an orchestral manner. However, I do not “generally” write diatonic music. As much as we all hate labels, I write “neo-serial primitivism” (the twelve-tone serialism of Schoenberg , the rhythm and ostinati of Stravinsky, combined).
The Bard Quartet interests me. I have a few questions:
    1) • “User editable microtuning capabilities”. “it includes highly customisable Microtuning and Arpeggiator options”. I take this to mean I can take a series of pitches and detune certain notes to be quarter tones. Eg. C ¼ sharp. Do I understand this correctly? Can I do that? I would like to explore Arabic Maqam(s). Is this possible?
    2) “The Bard Quartet composes and sings along with your complex harmonies!” I understand this to mean that I may take a tetrachord (a collection of 4 non-diatonic pitches) and have it “navigate through 8 customisable harmonic progressions”. Eg. C,E flat, E natural, F sharp -- E, G, Gsharp, A sharp -- B, D, D sharp, F natural. Do I have this right? Can I do that?
