@magruster he's 23. I know we're in the age of young players ready for minutes earlier, but a decade ago you'd have called Mudryk young and said he needs time. Hell, Mudryk's last season was better than Hazard in 15/16 when he was 25, yet he's still a Chelsea legend. You can see all the tools are there, and at some point, he will explode. If it doesnt happen in the next 18-24 months I'd feel comfortable moving on, but not yet. He's been here 18 months, is on his 4th different manager, is in a new country with a new team, all while his homeland is fighting for survival (that has to weigh on a person a little bit).

Honestly I don't blame him, it's sad that he went through that, even if some of us didnt notice, he may have experiences only he can account for. At the end of the day football isn't bigger than someone's mental health and well being, these players are people as well. Parts of the Chelsea fanbase and other clubs fanbases can be very toxic and unempethetic, and if anyone is upset by his comments or that general concensus then you probably a part of that problem
This is an important issue that we, the fans, must support our players at all times. They are human beings who have good days and bad ones. After all, it is not his fault that CFC paid such a huge amount for him.
With some people, criticism will push them to improve and be better. Just like how a parent will push their kids to be the best they can possibly be. They do it not to be a nasty person, but to help push them to reach their true potential.

Maybe you hire a coach for your kid to teach them a different way to study etc. And meanwhile, you support them. "You can do it" rather than "you dumb shit" Now apply that same thinking to Caicedo. These same fans probably didn't actually take time out of their day every time we were playing and go and watch the games, or even switch their tvs on. Regarding fans, and several of the comments below. I also moved abroad (on the other side of the planet) to work when I was 21. It was a tough adjustment. Caicedo, like many young footballers, had to make adjustments on the fly while trying to learn about his coach and teammates. Rather than allowing these kids time to adjust to a new country and coach, they bring their knives out. True, the huge amount of money ratcheted up expectations, but these comments say more about the “fans” than it dies about Caicedo.

Caicedo and the team in general were supported.very little. Don't forget that Poch shielded these guys week in and week out. I believe that's why they raised their game to keep him at the club. He ultimately left but the players played for their manager. We have to learn to support the players.
I wouldn't think a player would lie about how they feel, Caicedo felt as though he was attacked and i back him. Hiring someone to better himself mentally and physically is a great idea too.

Another one on Caicedo is that he as well as other players have talked about the Poch's training style that they weren't very impressed to say the least. He explained it as in at Brighton under Potter or RDZ it was all tactics,tactics and tactics while under Poch it was run,run and run some more and he concluded with that not being very easy to adapt to...in other words Poch's methods are severely outdated! Also Walker spoke about this not long ago without giving names but he alluded to winning trophies under a very tactical style unlike other styles that are all physical and all about running...we already know he was poking at Poch.
Nobody has given props for his great performances without forgetting them and then staying persistent with the idea his under performing the entire season such as yourself Yan , yet Enzo had a terrible season but you always speak on how great his been in instances this season , Caicedo best performance this season was way better than Enzo best performance this season , you kept speaking of his bad games like he’s never had any great games , it had nothing to do with him settling and everything to do with tactic , against Liverpool which was our first game Caicedo balled because him and Enzo were moving close together as a pair , even against Man City , the problem began when Potchettino started playing Enzo far ahead leaving Caicedo isolated , also both those players are very similar , we saw it when Enzo missed those games at the end of the season just what Caicedo offers and it’s more than just defence . Unfortunately Coach just expected Caicedo just win balls and pass to Enzo to allow him to do the rest which also is a hindering pathetic tactic which doesn’t create growth for the player and squad , especially when Enzo had been so limited in what he tried to do for the team . These two guys can be great if they’re played a little closer just as we did against our opening game with Liverpool and our match against city , these guys do a whole lot better when they’re closer to one another , like that iniesta , xavi partnership we saw at Barca . Let’s be real guys and pay attention to player strengths and what tactics are deployed and how they suit certain players and hinder others , instead of taking things from a surface level when football is an intricate sport .

Let's not stoke the flames with the Caicedo comments. The kid uses the word "attacked" but is obviously meaning fans were critical about his performances. It's reasonable to think he'd feel the pressure playing at home until he started to perform. We have a HUGE talent, let's not spoil it?
As a fan I’m a full believer that for 90 minutes you get right behind the team and “support” them. If you want to boo at full time fair enough. But for a young team to get boo’s during the game is a big negative so I’m not surprised by Caicedos comment. At the Leicester FA cup game game the atmosphere was just toxic, mainly towards Sterling but the negative effects the whole team. I hope we can go back to getting behind the team and cut out the booing

You know what would have helped Caicedo last season? Not taking the number 25, on top the price that was an insane weight of expectations to take. In fairness, the club shouldn't have let him, but it sounded like it was pushed for by his team in negotiations.

Caicedo is young , came on a huge big money move with lots of drama between us Brighton and liverpool, came into a very chaotic team where he was partnered in Midfield playing with a player who was injured and not giving him a lot of cover if the fans are realistic with themselves are fanbase as well as the media was very toxic as our fanbase tends to allow the media to get us to be very toxic following the median narrative. These comments being said prior to preseason will bother no one text to what he seems to prefer a much more tactical manager with Enzo Maresca
As a season ticket holder that attends every home game I can't say I heard any chanting, booing, jeering etc at mioses, we weren't happy with he performance against wolves at home where his indidual errors cost us the game but even that day the whole team where so poor it largely went under the radar. I'd say the only abuse I saw was on social media but I don't often consider to be match going blues.
I have made complains in many ocations in the pass about Chelsea football Fans being the most poluted to deal with in England. They can stigmatise negativity at any giving opportunity if swift care is not taking.

Unfortunately for Enzo, the age and experience of his squad necessitates a large portion of his role will be to take the blame from the players. If he's not extremely strong he risks isolating his players after a bad performance. What he cannot do is come out and blame the players for not executing the "idea" after a bad performance (and there will be a few, even Man City has off days). I am concerned about an inexperienced manager for this reason. Also, this team couldn't break down the low block at all, and now our style will invite it. I see a lot of scenarios where we're shopping for a new manager before the end of the season, but hope im wrong.

If a child isn’t doing well you don’t get angry and traumatize the child and make them want to live elsewhere. You nurture them regardless in their infancy. Caicedo and his agent clearly were aware they weren’t doing well and they sorted it out, they would’ve had an easier time with support rather than vitriol

Caicedo and the team in general were supported.very little. Don't forget that Poch shielded these guys week in and week out. I believe that's why they raised their game to keep him at the club. He ultimately left but the players played for their manager. We have to learn to support the players.
I wouldn't think a player would lie about how they feel, Caicedo felt as though he was attacked and i back him. Hiring someone to better himself mentally and physically is a great idea too.

I think caicedo and jackson were by far the two players getting the most grief at the start of the season, some of it definitely undeserved.
Another one on Caicedo is that he as well as other players have talked about the Poch's training style that they weren't very impressed to say the least.
He explained it as in at Brighton under Potter or RDZ it was all tactics,tactics and tactics while under Poch it was run,run and run some more and he concluded with that not being very easy to adapt to...in other words Poch's methods are severely outdated!
Also Walker spoke about this not long ago without giving names but he alluded to winning trophies under a very tactical style unlike other styles that are all physical and all about running...we already know he was poking at Poch.
Nobody has given props for his great performances without forgetting them and then staying persistent with the idea his under performing the entire season such as yourself Yan , yet Enzo had a terrible season but you always speak on how great his been in instances this season , Caicedo best performance this season was way better than Enzo best performance this season , you kept speaking of his bad games like he’s never had any great games , it had nothing to do with him settling and everything to do with tactic , against Liverpool which was our first game Caicedo balled because him and Enzo were moving close together as a pair , even against Man City , the problem began when Potchettino started playing Enzo far ahead leaving Caicedo isolated , also both those players are very similar , we saw it when Enzo missed those games at the end of the season just what Caicedo offers and it’s more than just defence . Unfortunately Coach just expected Caicedo just win balls and pass to Enzo to allow him to do the rest which also is a hindering pathetic tactic which doesn’t create growth for the player and squad , especially when Enzo had been so limited in what he tried to do for the team . These two guys can be great if they’re played a little closer just as we did against our opening game with Liverpool and our match against city , these guys do a whole lot better when they’re closer to one another , like that iniesta , xavi partnership we saw at Barca . Let’s be real guys and pay attention to player strengths and what tactics are deployed and how they suit certain players and hinder others , instead of taking things from a surface level when football is an intricate sport .
It’s okay to criticize the team and player performance as long as it doesn’t devolve into abuse. Seeing too many people in this comments section suggesting we should never complain and just be content with mediocrity, we have been an average team for the last couple of years and we should be demanding more.

Chelsea has more than enough exactly because it's a big club and Poch messed up as former players of his talked about how he analysed their game and showed them footage after every game and gave them instructions on how to improve.
At Chelsea apparently he didn't do that so him and his staff did f all for our club!
Palmer didn't improve under Poch because Palmer was already well coached at City,Mudryk has not improved just got to adapt a bit better in the league but was as bad as last season and sometimes worse,Enzo regressed,Caicedo became a mediocre player from one of the top midfielders in the league...all this because of some bozo coaching who's best achievement at Chelsea was to put us at 1st in injuries!

As a fan I’m a full believer that for 90 minutes you get right behind the team and “support” them. If you want to boo at full time fair enough. Caicedo is young , came on a huge big money move with lots of drama between us Brighton and liverpool, came into a very chaotic team where he was partnered in Midfield playing with a player who was injured and not giving him a lot of cover if the fans are realistic with themselves are fanbase as well as the media was very toxic as our fanbase tends to allow the media to get us to be very toxic following the median narrative. These comments being said prior to preseason will bother no one text to what he seems to prefer a much more tactical manager with Enzo Maresca

Caicedo definitely got grief from the fans, and if he’s saying it… it probably happened.
As a season ticket holder that attends every home game I can't say I heard any chanting, booing, jeering etc at mioses, we weren't happy with he performance against wolves at home where his indidual errors cost us the game but even that day the whole team where so poor it largely went under the radar. I'd say the only abuse I saw was on social media but I don't often consider to be match going blues.

Unfortunately for Enzo, the age and experience of his squad necessitates a large portion of his role will be to take the blame from the players. If he's not extremely strong he risks isolating his players after a bad performance. What he cannot do is come out and blame the players for not executing the "idea" after a bad performance (and there will be a few, even Man City has off days).
I am concerned about an inexperienced manager for this reason. Also, this team couldn't break down the low block at all, and now our style will invite it. I see a lot of scenarios where we're shopping for a new manager before the end of the season, but hope im wrong.

There’s a reason the word “supporter” is associated with football but it seems to be less and less of a thing nowadays due to the fact that there are less and less real connection to the clubs !
