This is a FULL TOUR of The CUTEST LITTLE Vintage Class A Motor Home RV, the Size of Class B Camper Van.
Airstream built the Argosy line of motor homes form 1974 to 1979 and they are a true American classic. This 20' RV is small but very cute and sometime they get confused with the GMC motorhomes or a class b camper van. In this video Patrick gives a full walk through tour with mentions of the Airstream history with these motorhomes featuring funeral coaches and NASA Astro van.

Sadly, smaller RVs are not cheaper RVs. You can get a decent amount of ~5 meter long RV here in germany, but they cost a fortune and are far from a bargain compaired to a 6 or 7 meter one. We were looking for an Oasi 540 and the range from 55.000 to 70.0000€, which is just ridiculus for a two-person-rv.

Finally! I’ve been looking for an in depth Argosy 20 video. Thank you! I like the version without the dinette up front and with the pub chair and fold out table instead.
I have a 1976 dodge chinook 18 plus. Rear door entry, the twin 6 foot sofa model where one sofa can become a dinette. It runs great, all original and in good shape, and all systems work.
Dimensions of rear interior living space behind cab/driver’s seat:
The interior width measurements is 85 in = 7ft 1 in
Rear length inside from back of driver’s seat to inside of rear entry door is 12 ft 5 in
    Inside height is 6’2”
RV overall length bumper to bumper in 19ft
It has the same Dometic fridge. Mine is missing the far left front pull knob (striker?) so I manually start the pilot light from the rear of fridge and outside. It works great! Very cold.

Dude! I absolutely love the vintage 70s look of the interior! I think that’s one of the biggest appeals to buying an old school motor home like this 1974 Airstream. I would hate for someone to buy this vehicle and delete the 1970s out of it only to modernize the interior. If that’s the case than they should just buy a new motor home. But man oh man am I in love with this rig! Growing up my uncle had one of the 70s GMC models and our family had a total blast every time we went camping with him. Looking at this vehicle brings back so many great memories! Thanks to everyone who shared this. As always this has been a great video and I look forward to seeing the next one! Cheers!

Hi Patrick, my Father and Mother had an RV while I was growing up. I watch RV videos a lot! I also watch the TV Show "Going RV" on cable.
I was seriously impressed with your narrated tour. You didn't miss a thing. Your explanations were concise.
Probably the best that I've seen! short of Dan of the "Leisure Travel Vans" channel who does tours of new RV and who is just as good.
    I thoroughly enjoyed watching!

I seen the really long one that airstream made recently. It was amazing. And it was spotless. Just a beautiful camper. The outside was gleaming in the sun with the alloy shinning. The interior had been updated a bit and was done to an amazingly high standard. It was huge ,and if I had the money I would snap one up in a second. Just so over fabrication and nice little touches all around . No wonder airstream is so iconic and fetching big money now for a good one.🙏

Engineered well ahead of its time. Durable, simple, and NO computer crap to spoil the adventure. Modern day engineers could learn a lot. A true time capsule. It's going to make someone a great tiny home.
Easy to see the General Motors engineering influence...2 piece panoramic windshield and bus (Greyhound) type mirrors, and rounded aluminum body. Both these features were used on the GMC Astro and Chevrolet Titan cab over class 8 over-the-road trucks of the same era. The bus type mirrors were only used a year or two and they went back to using the traditional west-coast mirrors on the trucks.

I remember my grand parents used their friends motor home exactly like this one to go to Arizona one winter, but they didn't stay because they said it was too cold for their "Florida bones", as they said. But they were intrigued by the idea that they could travel in their own home.
