    I noticed that the vRAM chips don't make direct contact with the heatsink, though they do get air form the fans.
    Question is, do you think it's enough or does this kind of cooling configuration is potentially harmful for the vRAM chips and may hamper their overall longevity?

    • @freedomination2
      @freedomination2 9 месяцев назад +1

      Great Question! I have a Biostar RX570 and when I went in to oil a fan, I noticed the same thing, only 3 chips had pads!

    • @computerspecialist8533
      @computerspecialist8533  5 месяцев назад +1

      On this model the vRAM chips are fine with just the air cooling! Back in the mining days we would toy around with custom padding them and it would make any notable difference!

      @computerspecialist8533  Год назад +2

      On this model no. There is also no way to get pressure, unless you went with real thick ones and used the heatsink to push down, but then that would block airflow on the heatsink! Thank you! Feel free to sub our channel for more videos in the future!

    • @computerspecialist8533

    Helloo there. Please can you help me? I have the exactly same graphic card as you on this video.
    So, what is the really thermalpad thcikness for this graphic card? I see you using a 2.5mm but I saw on forums people using a 2.0mm thermalpad for this graphic card too.
    Can I use any of them or you recommend the 2.5mm?
