@@computerspecialist8533 bro idk why I said that...lemme fix it
thanks for your help, you saved me time so I don't have to bother with the size of thermopads
Thanks man, I was looking for what was the thickness of thermal pad. Keep up the good work.
No problem 👍
Great video and demonstration of everything!
What size of the thermal pads did you use, if you remember?
Thanks for the video!
Your welcome! Thanks for the nice comment! I believe on this model was 1.5mm. I highly recommend getting a kit like this. www.ebay.com/itm/145657313548 that was you have a bunch laying around for future jobs etc.!
Keep up the great work! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
thanks for a well done detailed video, much appreciated
Glad it was helpful!
Best guide, thanks.
Glad it helped!
I noticed that the vRAM chips don't make direct contact with the heatsink, though they do get air form the fans.
Question is, do you think it's enough or does this kind of cooling configuration is potentially harmful for the vRAM chips and may hamper their overall longevity?
Great Question! I have a Biostar RX570 and when I went in to oil a fan, I noticed the same thing, only 3 chips had pads!
On this model the vRAM chips are fine with just the air cooling! Back in the mining days we would toy around with custom padding them and it would make any notable difference!
thanks for the video, keep it up
Your Welcome! Feel free to sub our channel for more great videos!
It's not worth put thermal pads in memory chips too?? Great job!!
On this model no. There is also no way to get pressure, unless you went with real thick ones and used the heatsink to push down, but then that would block airflow on the heatsink! Thank you! Feel free to sub our channel for more videos in the future!
Do I ever need to put thermal pad on VRAM? If so, what size?
On this model the VRAM chips are fine with just being cooled by the fan! Its also kind of hard to get a heatsink on them even if you wanted to!
@@computerspecialist8533 Alright. Thanks! 🙏🏻
Not a problem! Feel free to subscribe to our channel for future videos etc! We are close to 1000 subs!
don't you need to remove the blue plastic on the pad strip?
Yes, any plastic it has you should take off. The pad should be soft on both sides!
@@computerspecialist8533 but you didn't on the top side
Some thermal pads only have plastic on one side and some have on both depending where you bought it. Just make sure there is no plastic on either side!
Does this gpu need a thermal pad on the vram? They don't have any problem? I want to use it to play hodwars legacy
Not on this model! Will be no issue with that game!
Hi, can you tell me the size of thermal pads? 2.5mm? Thanks
Yeah I'm pretty sure 2.5mm will do the trick! But I do recommend buying a few different sizes to have them fo future projects etc. Can get them cheap with combined shipping!
@@computerspecialist8533 but you wrote in the description it's 1.5mm thick. So which one?
@@rf.alfarisi 1.5mm but 2.5mm will work if absolutely required.
Helloo there. Please can you help me? I have the exactly same graphic card as you on this video.
So, what is the really thermalpad thcikness for this graphic card? I see you using a 2.5mm but I saw on forums people using a 2.0mm thermalpad for this graphic card too.
Can I use any of them or you recommend the 2.5mm?
Thank you!
I recommend a 2.5. But a 2.0 should work just fine. Just make sure it’s being squished when it’s being screwed down!
@@computerspecialist8533 Get it. Thanks for answering, buddy. Have a nice weekend!
Your Welcome! Hope you get those temps back down!
@@computerspecialist8533 but you wrote in the description it's 1.5mm thick. So which one?
@@rf.alfarisi Go with either 2mm (We recommend) or 1.5mm if you have laying around or can't find 2mm.
How do I know when I need to replace the thermal pads? Thank you.
When card starts to overheat and the fans are not the issued (Dirty or clogged etc)
no heatsink for vram chips ????
Not on this model!
I have 1mm thermal pad. Can i use double off 1mm to get 2mm. Can i use like that? Thank you
You technically could, but pads are so cheap Id just get the 2mm.
I bought 2.5mm, can I use it without fear?
That will work fine! Also make sure you stress test it and watch the temps and make sure they don't exceed 88c!
Olá, Melhorou a temperatura?
Sim!

what happen if we dont use new thermal pads and just replace thermal paste?
You will see some improved performance with fresh thermal paste, but it is ideal to replace both together.
@@computerspecialist8533 thanks for your answer
Hope your card is working great again!
Это не XFX ? На чипах написанно R15 это видео карта на 4 гига и бек плейс не от этой видео карты
Yes it is a 4GB XFX card RX570.
Um you know um🤣
