- In this video today i am doing a thermal paste and fan replacement on a Asus ROG Strix RX570 OC 4GB Gaming.. what a mouthful of a model name!
The thermals are getting a bit high and the fan is a little noise, time to see if that can be fixed.

Thanks for making this. I have an XFX Radeon RX 460 4GB with a single fan that i noticed had fallen off during cleaning this weekend. Will be looking for new fan later, but for now, will just leave the card out of my rig. I really like how you showed the original fan wobbling in place before you pulled it out. Makes a lot of sense. Hi, i bought a RX ROG Strix 470 4gb and one of my coolers stop running even when i turn on the MSI Afterburner to test if they are in a good state. Can I change that cooler for one of the Gigabyte model Rx 470 Gigabyte?

thanks for the video bro, i have the same gpu on the video, i was getting 57 celcius on idle before changing the thermal paste, now im getting 34 celcius on idle🔥

Thanks boss. I accidently broke off two of the blades of a fan while it was running while trying to move something out of its way. Never taken a GPU apart before so it was a little intimidating, but you did a clear job of explaining everything.

So basically had issues with high temperatures because one fan stopped working. Got another one in case that directly hits gpu, and it was alright, temps went 10 celsius lower. Month later, again, gpu temps hitting 90 in games. Decided to change thermal paste for first time ever(after 5 years, btw its asus 470), it was alright for few hours and temps in games were going 'only' up to 75. Few hours later its again hitting 90... whats going on?? Any suggestions? Ordered new fan from ebay but it should arrive in a month or even 2...
mine seems a little oily around that black heat sink so I considered replacing the pad. Does anyone know what that heat sink is for? I also noticed the memory doesn't have head pads that connect it to the main heatsink which I'm used to seeing in teardowns.
Does anyone know what thickness thermal pads go for memory for this exact card?
i bought rog strix rx 570 6months ago from the first day it goes above 80 so can you please suggest as it is under warranty period

@@rickstechrepairs I just got the fans and when I opened up the card both fans didn’t have all 4 screw so both fans had 3 in each so I was wondering if this is a hazard and if so where could I find the other 2 screws?
11:10 what i saw was hurting my mind so i had to pause cause it reminded me when i did that first time and a component fell off then wouldnt turn on and my pc smoked alot :O my mind is breaking apart just watching u scraping soo agressive hahaha oh dear lord have mercy on me :P

i find i usually put a small bead of thermal paste
if in doubt, use a piece of plastic or cardboard to spread it out
Kept hearing the sound of the fans where you spun it hard. I tried every angle of placing the desktop PC. Any way to fix that?
If it's a GPU fan being loud or crunchy, faulty bearings
You will need to replace the damaged/failed fans

i got black screen after i didn't run my pc about a year,changed the monitor
...should i do this,anyway i did try many ways except for replacing new PSU and change the thermal paste
A new screen won't help
Try reseating your ram
New thermal paste won't help, PSU might buy if you are getting fans spinning ATM , I'm doubtful a new PSU would be the solution

when i open my ausus dual oc one power connector for fan is 4pin and other is 3pin is that normal?
one fan would be the primary and the other a slave

Can i ask something it fans spins at start UP i mean when you power pc for about 1 or 2 second like test spin or it never spin? I have auss rog strix 4 GB rx 560
From memory it spins up for a couple of seconds, then turns off until it heats up to a certain level

@@rickstechrepairs im not better hands down at all 😂 i just got this exactly gpu, but not able to run fortnite at 1080p, even at "high", i just need to set it 720+ultra, or 1080+low(some middle) and no lags, internet connection is ok, i thinked that thos card can do better, or is this not normal for this card?
A 570 4GB should be able to run Fortnite just fine,
i would expect the rest of the specs to be
ryzen 5 1600 or intel i5 6600
16GB Ram
to achieve 1080P on High @ 100fps+
@@rickstechrepairs thank you for answering, i got exactly 5 1600, but had to flash new bios in to card, cuz it was not giving me even post at start, now with new bios the card goes, but i thing its just my fault with bad drivers, i tried ever possible driver, card is doing well, good temps, i can oc it(which i dont want to do, but tried it) and i can set every fan speed, but games are still running poorely, i borrowed this card from my friend, becase my own aorus gtx 1080 ti is on cleaning, repasting and repading, but im just hugely annoyed, because amd just dont work properly, i even uninstalled all nvidia software and drivers, still amd not going properly fps
