i have one like this, but it's rx470 mining edition. it looks absolutely the same, but lacks 2 display outputs (only one dvi) and elpida memory instead of hynix. with enterprise driver windows sees it as 570. in hive os it's 570 as well.
i was wondering if you put thermal pads on the memory. and which if so
i didnt replace the thermal pads but at 6:00 you can see the memory around the Chip (in the center of the screen)
Hey i have this exact card, but i am going to change the heat sink and fan for a kraken g12 and a kraken x41 aio cooler. I see the vram chips very nicely in your video thank you for that!!! I was wondering if id need to put small heat sinks on them, i was advised to put little heat sinks anywhere there was thermal pads put on. These vram didnt appear to have thermal pads. what is your expert opinion on the matter?
i would go with, if there was a thermal pad there, then i would put on back/leave it on
My backplate is making it tough to get my gpu to go in because it’s just a little too big could I take it off and be just fine?

I know you did not change the pads, but I was wondering if you know the thickness and grade of thermal pads? 1.5mm or 2mm? Is 6.0 W/mK grade good enough? Any recommendation on thermal paste grade? I do not want to end up buying wrong products. Thank you.
i didn't change thermal pads as i didn't have anything to change them over with, no idea on thermal pad size so no recommendations.
Iv used artic silver, but most thermal paste should be fine

How did you find out thermal paste needs replacement? Or you replace every 2 years?
Typically thermal paste loses some performance over time , two years is a good time to replace it

can you help me Mr. Rick? is 4w/mk conductivity pads enough for rx 570? because higher conductivity like gelid cost too much for me so im thinking if the cheap ones works. Hope you can reply on me thanks.
Sorry M T, I do know what conductivity the factory pads are, so I can't advise you man
does your screws that hold in the heatsink has springs in them because I don't know what they are. There hard to come off I only got one off the rest is chipping my screw driver
im pretty sure they did have a tension spring

Bruh, i added toothpaste instead of thermal paste
Odd thing to use
