Hey, I changed my thermal paste on the same gpu in the video thanks to you, all went great, temps are low and my black screen issue went away. Great video, although you should do a remake of it with better quality for less experienced people in the overall pc genre. Thanks once again.

Ohhh, Thanks my man i have the same GPU and i wanted to freshen it up and, i was actually thinking to get it to a local repair shop to do so but, now i saw that how u did it i realized that it's not so Complicated so, i would do it myself
I actually not planning to change the GPU cause it just does it's job perfect if ur not after Ray-Tracing n such stuff so, i'm still gonna keep it for, i don't know, another year or two and after that i will considering to buy NOT a new GPU but a generation behind with a decent price tag on it just like i did with this one

  • @Rufofeli

I did the thermal paste replacement but the GPU has 33 C° while iddle and 90 C° while gaming, I don't know what happened.
Maybe the thermal paste is bad? I don't understand how it maintains normal temps while iddle and then goes so high while gaming.
    Thank you for the video!
EDIT: well, it was the damn thermal paste (was an old and cheap one). I used arctic m4 and now is at 29~30 iddle and 72~73 while gaming.

The old thermal paste can get stuck. Try to turn it about half an inch in either direction to loosen it up. That usually does the trick.

Apply thermal putty Upsiren UX Pro. And for the core phase-change material Honeywell PTM7950. It is also a good idea to do undervolting.

With GPUs it's recommended to use more paste than the pea method used on CPU's but you SHOULD NOT use lots of a conductive paste like Arctic Silver as that can cause a short with the SMD

You should try phase-change material Honeywell PTM7950. It comes in as a sheet, lasts longer, performs works better than traditional pastes and there is no pump-out effect. For the power section (vrm) and vrams, I advise you to apply thermal putty Upsiren UX Pro instead of thermopads.
It is also a good idea to do undervolting.
