Awesome, thank you for your videos. I had been having issues trying to find someone explaining what to do to find seeds for harvest, so really appreciate the info 🤗
Hello, Thanks for the video. After watching this I walked outside to my plant and there was a pod. So I gave it a go and documented on my RUclips as well. I feel mine was to ripe and got zero seeds. Bit of a bummer but will pay more attention next time
Hi Hayley, thanks for making this resourceful video! I have 4 fruits growing at the moment, one was already ripen and fell off, figured none of the seed spotted just like you explained. I plucked the other one, unripe, no luck for seed! So, would like to ask, how much unripe and any physical signs from unripe pods to be ready for plucking for seed harvesting? Thanks a lot in advance!
Would I get a stronger Monstera if I planted it myself as a seed? I see the 45cm at the local plant store looks puny and the leaf's just looks misriable. They also plant at standard 7 individual monsteras in one pot which can't be good in the long run if I want a big healthy one? I would give it all the time in the world under grow-light and right soil from seedling.
I just got one of these fruits! I tried eating it but apparently it wasn't fully ripe because it made me feel like I took a bite out of fiberglass insulation or something. I thought it was ripe because the scales had peeled off from a portion of it on their own, and I only tried the part where the scales had fallen off already! Just gotta be extra careful wtih this fruit! subscribed btw!
I'm trying the fruit for the first time right now. I ate a chunk that was raised/pushed out more than the rest. With very little pressure it fell off like the scales. I think that may be the safest time.
Fun fact they're edible and taste like banana and pineapples 😂 it's weird that they taste like that! Only eat the ripen one not the ones still attached to the peel bacause it's burn the mouth 👄! #cooldude995
Everywhere here in the world monstera deliciosa is a famous plant no one can't deny it here in Philippines monstera is so expensive but a single seed (1 seed) cost 1 dollar
Thank you. This is the first resource after many that mentions thwt not all pods have seeds and not all fruit too.

@itsme-dl2be Hi. Your plant might be an ornamental Monstera! It looks exactly the same as the fruiting variety but unfortunately never bears fruit.
Can you still harvest seeds from already brown and not green flower pods?
Hi, what do you do after you've taken the seeds from the fruit?
Eat them
