I am curious, coming from a family with seamstresses in it, was the white thread temporary stitching that was not converted to the proper thread? At times tailors will use an obvious color thread on purpose, so when the client comes for a fitting, it is easier for the tailor to see the thread. However, the final product should have been done with the proper thread. Also, sometimes those "Hard" creases can be tricky if the tailor is inexperienced. It appears he took on a job he wasn't capable of completing, then with his mother's passing, it is understandable that he just did not want to deal with it.
Yes, it's sad that his mother died and I'm sorry for his loss, however, though this may seem insensitive, life for others doesn't stop. He should've taken enough time to ask someone else to take over the work like she said. I've been there with the passing of grandmother, uncle's, my sister and even did business with someone who had a parent pass and that person remained professional in still making sure someone took over.
Or he could have at least said, I'm not going to be able to do your alterations, here's your jacket and here's your money. And if he knew of somebody who might be able to help, give him the name. If you're running a business, you have to be professional. You can't just assume life is going to stop for everybody else (as you said), just because you had a trauma. It’s cultural. In the traditional black church we dress up. It’s always been that way. During the times when the only work black people could do required wearing uniforms Sunday was the only day that we could put on something nice. The tradition has continued for generations. As far as pastors having suits custom made that’s a personal preference but the standard in the black church is that the pastor wears either a suit or a clergy robe. That’s starting to change as churches are adopting a more casual dress code but even the most causal pastor in a black church is going to make sure that outfit is well out together.

You're right. So, as a seamstress I'll try my best to answer... I think the white thread must have been put there originally as a 'base stitch,' which is what seamstresses and tailors use in substitution for pins, to hold the ends together so they don't wiggle and cause uneven sewing. Base stitches are usually put in looser than normal stitches and in an easy to spot color, so they'll be easier to remove when it's time to pull them out after the real stitching has been done. ...And what had to have happened here, was that the tailor forgot to remove the base stitching after he'd sewn the suit, or perhaps he might have forgotten to even put the 'real' stitching in the suit. Either way, I think the job was way too big and too intricate and far too demanding for him to have taken on. ...He should have stuck to making shirts and blouses for a while longer.
There's always a seam in back of suits!. I take in all the time. Plaintiff is complaining because he probably doesn't want to pay...that why I vet my customers. Demanding ones are sent down the street.

Seems to me, the Defendant shoulda started from scratch or just leave it alone. But what kinda fit was the Plaintiff wanting? Some men are wearing more fitted suits now and yes they have to be tailored. Now for him to have that ripple in the back and then bring it in from the center caused that.
So he brings back it from the cleaner after they pressed it and the crease is still there and the judge goes so what's your next plan and he goes to sue the guy. 🤣🤣

In the Bible days, the fabric you wore absolutely mattered. You had to wear certain things and certain perfumes and oils at certain times. So it definitely does matter. Just because someone’s a pastor doesn’t mean they should just allow someone to do them wrong. Give the man what he paid for.
He had every right to be concerned about looking appropriate for an important event in his life. You wouldn’t make this same argument if he was preparing to be installed as the new CEO of a tech company, so in essence, being a minister doesn’t make him any less of a *customer,* and the defendant had a professional responsibility to his customer to do the job correctly.

Who in their right mind would think to look at the stitching colour, when supposedly a professional has altered the jacket. Only an amateur would use the wrong coloured thread and take in a jacket from the back, a professional would take it in from the sides. And how does the judge not understand that once you have altered a seam and steamed it flat, it is VERY hard to remove that fold and why is the defendant calling it a row, it's a fold or pleat. Sometimes the judge is really rude, the plaintiff is not 'high maintenance' he just expects to get what he paid for...
The gentleman keeps trying to give free publicity to "a high-quality suit shop," "a high-quality washeteria," etc. "that gave me free stuff because I said I'd mention them on Facebook." I like the way he's apparently been advised NOT to do that, but sadly in his case it seems to be habitual. (Name drop, freebie, Facebook, sponsor me, brand name, brand name, FB, 🤖🤮💤) You can almost see him trying to say a brand name or store name, and then slamming his lips back together. Then he briefly turns purple and tries for a generic synonym, like "Joe's Butch-- dammit! I mean, a fine meats emporium I know of ," "a beautiful tailor shop," "the best dry cleaner ever that's in a strip mall," or "a very high-end silverware lending library.": As in: "Your Honor, see, I wouldn't be here today except I'm an honest man who's out $1,000 due to this borrowed suit got damaged, so here's the thing. I get lots of free stuff because I say "I'll mention it on my Facebook." Then I say, "I only need it so I can be pastor of a church, and then the Lord will bless me and you, I'll pay you back for everything I ever borrowed, and if I can't, well, I'll sell the church, take the money and leave town. --Uh, that didn't sound right. I mean, if I'm pastor of this church, I would never leave you like all the other pastors. I might consider burning the church down and collecting on the insurance, but that would only work because of the beautiful candles inside. But I digress. See, my Facebook friend Nick fronted me the money for this suit. Judge: (rolls eyes, winces) Oh, wait. Also I borrowed a knife set. And I only needed that knife set for - like I said - my dinner to get me installed as pastor of a church that does not exist, ahh, at the present time. And that's also why I needed a suit. And I'n so grateful to the good folks at Brand X Tailoring, Brand A Knives, Brand B Dry Cleaning, and I said to them, "Look, I'll get your name out there. I'll put it on Facebook and TV. Now then, I tragically damaged the borrowed suit, but it wasn't my fault! The gravy boat overturned and knocked my wine glass out of my hands on my way to the MiniMart, and then I was eating some wings and Jojo's at the wash-and-dry, and all of a sudden I realized I still had the suit on from wearing it out of the store, and there was gravy and BBQ sauce all over that beautiful suit. -- (pukes commercials)
Despite how annoying & pretentious the plaintiff is, it does seem like the defendant is a kid pretending to be a tailor in his grandmother's basement 🤔
It's sad how many fake Christians there are and, even worse how many of them become pastors. The plaintiff has no business being a pastor! A real man of God would never spend seven hundred dollars on a suit. Someone who truly knows God's word would spend a tenth of what this guy did, and donate the rest to help those in need. A real pastor would never sue someone, Especially over something as petty and materialistic as this. When someone like the plaintiff is a pastor, they pass on their sinful ways to their church intead of teaching God's word. He is leading his flock astray by his own actions and he will have to face God for that. We are all sinners, but the Bible teaches that those who lead God's children astray will face a much harsher punishment. I hope he turns away from his greed and becomes a real man of God, with real faith. I pray for the people of his church being mislead and hope they find their way to a better church and a real relationship with God.

I can't watch him...my bullshit-0-meter keeps clanging. 🛎
Don't bring religion into court. There's a separation of church and state... along with vengeance being God's business.
Agree
Stop interrupting so much JM!!!! Sheesh
Defendant needs to work on his customer service skills and Plaintiff is annoying AF.
Wow I know the defendent lmfao
is he nice
Pastor dun threw up the peace ✌🏾 sign
Judge!!! Once again you are not a good listener!
Exsplain….
Yes explain 👂
Is that a china cabinet 🗄️ behind the defendant? He must be at his grandparents house.
I was not impressed with the pastor.
Me either
Me 3 😂
Who in their right mind would think to look at the stitching colour, when supposedly a professional has altered the jacket.
This tailor is a joke and needs to take care of a man's suit when he pays you. Your mother would be disappointed you didn't take care of the customer.
He should have had his late mother make the alteration before she passed.
The Pastor only owned that one suit? He was insensitive of this man’s loss. How “pastor-ly”. 🤨
Amen
Pastors on here all sound the same 🙄
Wow...
Defendant does not how to dress, polka dot tie with a striped shirt. Clashing of the finest, not.
The gentleman keeps trying to give free publicity to "a high-quality suit shop," "a high-quality washeteria," etc. "that gave me free stuff because I said I'd mention them on Facebook."
I like the way he's apparently been advised NOT to do that, but sadly in his case it seems to be habitual. (Name drop, freebie, Facebook, sponsor me, brand name, brand name, FB, 🤖🤮💤)
You can almost see him trying to say a brand name or store name, and then slamming his lips back together.
Then he briefly turns purple and tries for a generic synonym, like "Joe's Butch-- dammit! I mean, a fine meats emporium I know of ," "a beautiful tailor shop," "the best dry cleaner ever that's in a strip mall," or "a very high-end silverware lending library.":
As in: "Your Honor, see, I wouldn't be here today except I'm an honest man who's out $1,000 due to this borrowed suit got damaged, so here's the thing.
Judge: (rolls eyes, winces)
Oh, wait.
(pukes commercials)
You finger-pointing judgmental folks really ruffle my feathers. Pastors can’t drive nice cars, dine at fine restaurants or wear nice clothes because of you people. Ridiculous way of thinking!!!
Holy Cheezits, this guy is a drama queen.
Right, but which one because they both seem to fit the bill if you ask me.
Wow...Pastor should use that suit money for the church.. alot of money for a suit... there goes the church 10%.. pobre de los diezmos
Isn't the pastor allowed to use his salary how he decides? He doesn't have to give his money back to the church
@@dec1slh if is money that he work for but most money pastors use is from the church..for what I seen..specially growing up with friend in a pastors families.. Sunday asking for money to send to other countries and go get an expensive suit.. nice cars etc..but like I said what I seen and experience..
@@lynnortiz3763 isn't being a pastor his job? Isn't his salary paid by the church? Why are you assuming that this pastor committed misappropriation of funds because that's what your friends did. Do you want your pastor walking around like a hobo? They deserve to have a life just like the rest of us.
@@dec1slh preaching is not a job anybody could do that...and he could dress nice not dress so expensive for church anyway ..argue with yourself.. glad my opinion got your attention..
@@lynnortiz3763 you sound dumb af, if you truly think a pastor should not be paid. I'm not even into church, but I know the pastor is not going to preach to/teach you idiots for free. $700 being expensive is subjective. It may be expensive to you, but may not be to him. Let that man live. Most pastors also have other jobs outside of the church, what he chooses to do with HIS money is HIS choice. Educate yourself before making dumb assumptions. Pastors DO have salaries from the church. Anybody can do any job, guess what... they still get paid for it. Anybody can do my job, yet I still get paid for it.
the place you buy the suit at includes free alterations with purchase. this guy is a LIAR!!!
Not true. There are MANY places that do not offer free alternations as you said.
Not always.
All this trouble over a suit. I'd of just gone ahead and perhaps get a different suit if I were the plantiff. Forget all the hassle.
Yea, why bother getting what you paid for, it's so much easier to be out hundreds of dollars and a ruined suit because it's just too much of a hassle. Another banger from Adrian.
The first moment I realize there perhaps maybe and issue my mind immediately would've been in search for something else, especially if time was of the essence in preparation for my "special day ". Money wouldn't be of issue certainly not for me.
@@adrianprince7266 so you avoid conflict? Is that why you act like a tough guy on RUclips? You must be a meek person. Man up
Can you please share some of your actual experiences in purchasing suits and getting them tailored? Maybe you could save the rest of us some major hassles.
I would have rented a tuxedo. I'm not a man who would spend 2 months going back and forth with a tailor.
I grew up in the black church and a lot would go down behind closed doors. With that said, I get the vibe that there was more than "tailoring" going on between these two...
My Lord 🙏🙏🙏
Wow pastor
Can't we all get along
Where are you preach
This is a very boring case
Amen
